DB BR411 ICE-T now out on Steam

Post by 749006 »

The DB BR411 is now out

Think of it as a German Pendolino

A good unit for the TCC route and other German/Austrian/Swiss routes.

I believe this is used quite extensively on the newly released Berlin to Wittenberg route. Would love reviews for the ICE-T

Well after buying it and trying it out for a bit, I can certainly certify 1 thing:
They really didn't care for this train too much during it's development. Reused cab assets, like the speedometer and reused sounds from the ICE 3. Even worse when you find out then ICE 3 and ICE T don't even sound alike in the slightest!

One saving grace sound wise is that when the new TTB scenario pack is released, it's a sure fire bet that somebody will very quickly release a patch to alias the ICE T sounds from that pack. It is already being talked about on Railsim.de Unfortunately for the meantime the TTB one will only be AI. Sadly not much can be done about the cab at the moment.

Is the bodyside destination display configurable?

Not tried but, on the loco number the letters should equal the following

a = hamburg
b = kiel
c = berlinzoo
d = munchen
e = gesundbrunnen
f = berlinhbf
x = blank

Since the tilting should allow the train to go faster though curves, I'd be very interested to know if that also works in the simulation - does this train get higher speed-limits than the other (ICE) trains on curvy routes?

Cheers,
