We are currently aware that some people are having problems downloading the Pacific Surfliner® LA - San Diego route from Steam. A big thank you to everyone who has reported this to us. As such we are currently working with Steam to fix the issue as soon as we can. We are very sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused you. Please keep an eye on our Facebook page for further details.
I am not a Facebook member. As a paying Railsim 2014 customer, where will I receive "further details"?

Downloaded and had a play.
Not sure the brakes seem right. Can anyone else comment?

Once again a big thank you to everyone who has reported and helped us with the issue relating to Pacific Surfliner® LA - San Diego route not downloading. We have run some tests and all is looking good following some work with Steam. Please close Train Simulator and restart Steam to set your download off. Once again we are very sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused you and hope that you enjoy the new route.

I seem to recall from other routes that they model the brake resevoirs on the carriage, which means they take a while to respond. It probably is accurate.

What's wrong with them.
Too slow to apply/release?
Not enough brake power?

Too much brake for me.
I apply the brakes just a little bit and the brake cylinder needle goes to 60. Apply more brake, the needle still at 60, apply even more brake, the needle stays at 60 still.

It looks like a beautiful route. I love the city-based shots. I can't stretch to it right now but it will be on my "will buy" list for later. For the time being, I'll just enjoy people's screenies of the route.

Not a fan of the already produced USA routes - but this one is simply beautiful - great graphics, smooth operation and good FPS

For those of you that have already purchased this route. Where does it actually install? Considering it is a 'stand alone' product, and RSC make the following comment on the store page "Alternatively, if you already own Train Simulator 2014 you can add Pacific Surfliner® LA - San Diego to your existing collection."
If we have to add it to our existing collection, where is it installed? Surely it would simply install with the rest of TS2014, rather than in a separate location?
Can any existing owners comment?
Cheers

I don't have this route yet (worse luck!) but RSC have been making add-on routes stand-alone for quite some time now. I imagine that any route you've bought since before TS2013 will have been one of these, and for anyone with the main game already, they install in the usual hierarchy of files. I don't know anyone who has bought a route without owning the main game though. My logical guess is that it simply creates the exact same file hierarchy (ie the install process checks whether the main game files are already present, and if not, installs those first) otherwise custom content would start to become a messy problem.

Hi, I have this route and we must proceed as follows:
As it is a DLC "stand alone" when is going to begin the installation, a dialog box appears on the Steam client asking if you want to install TS2014. If you are already in possession of TS2014, you must click on "
Cancel" and the route is will install like any other DLC.
So I did, and everything works fine.
Regards.
