nd= no driver, just a bit of shorthand to denote a driving trailer for use at the rear of a multiple unit set or even as ECS in a yard.
You'll find others along your journey too; np = no passengers, as does no pax---there's no defined standard and some reskinners do it one way, some do it another....

Glad to hear you're sorted now, a reskin referencing another reskin crops up now and again. It's something thats very easy to do but very, very hard to troubleshoot from the reskinners point of view as he'll have it working so can't replicate the problem!

Thanks John

I understand. My frustration was because I had posted something saying it didn't work, but was unable to quickly correct that by saying I now had it working! And I thought the 5 hour time difference in the US was bad enough :)

Thanks, yes I came to realize it was no driver, duh!

I'm actually now tweaking the reskin itself, to include a more accurate front-end with the lower dark elipse below the window, and yellow pillars up the sides. Discovered a couple of hitches in that:

1) the front top corners of the end unit (where curved roof meets curved sides and sloping front) has extra small "patches" of skin which are cloned from small areas of the front roof above the front window (not from separate patches elsewhere on the template sheet). This is built into the original RSC model. So while the "corners" need to be white for the correct new livery, the "patched" part is showing the dark grey of the roof. Either I need to be able to redirect the source of the patches, or leave those small parts of the roof white and then add roof-colored child patchess to cover them up again?

2) the elipse below the window overlaps with most of the unit number, which needs to be placed down at the bottom of the front panel - hence my other post asking about relocating numbers

I'm learning a lot from this!
