vR BR 103 TEE package has just been updated to version 3 with a long awaited jelly cam fix (in-cab camera stability issue) and LZB/PZB modifications and some additional minor fixes.

At this time it seems that only the TEE package is updated.

Two package updates are online now. Others will be uploaded tomorrow to reduce the server load.

Update V3
- Wipers outside fixed
- Handbrake fixed (now has force and affects simulation)
- Door closing of board restaurant wagon fixed for standard locos
- PZB improved (Release at/before 1000hz, Keypress sound on "Wachsam", Emergency braking while pressing "Wachsam" and "Frei" at the same time)
- LZB improved (reacts on red signals now, works on second cab, affects backwards run over 40km/h)
- Loco brake fixed (release, hold, apply)
- Cab camera improved (JellyCam effect reduced) <-- BUT NOT ELIMINATED (just a good compromise between the "little open see vessel" and the moped like standard)
- some minor fixes in scripts

Thank you very much, Maik!

Maik, one question please... are the IC coaches you have on sale this week compatible with the BR 103 door closing? From the product description it seems yes, but just to be sure...

Yes, they have the same system implemented as the other wagons. On EL locos you can close the doors manually.

I bought the 103 orientrot and I'm just testing it in simple mode atm. I'll need to get to grips with the manual later.
Just one thing, silly question perhaps, but how to get the wipers working in simple mode ? The wipers icon or V key doesn't work.
I don't see a Scheibenwischer switch.

The Expert-Line packages are not made for the simple mode and don't work in that mode at all.

Simply redownload the package from your customer account on the store and install it over.

All,

I am looking for some advice on driving the BR103, I've consulted the manual, but cannot figure out what stage I'm doing wrong.

Startup:
Ctrl+B - de-isolate batteries
W - cab switched on
Shift+@ - switch on compressor
Shift+P, P - raise pan
Z - main switch on
Shift+8 - PZB on
Ctrl+T - close doors
; - release brakes
W - reverser forwards
A - apply power
Shift+F - Cooling fans on

When notching up, I start with Notch 1, then slowly increase power not going over 50kN.
However, once the locomotive goes over 40km/h, the power cuts out and the locomotive main switch trips. I don't think I'm going over the maximum continuous traction restrictions (but I may be wrong) and I'm driving within speed limits and PZB restrictions.

If anyone could tell me what I'm doing wrong, I'd be grateful.

Thanks

Make sure you release the handbrake (the wheel on the left)... Additionally, are you sure you do not get emergency braking from PZB? You usually start in PZB restrictive monitoring mode where you should not go above 40kph. If you are indeed in the restrictive mode you should see alternating 70 and 85 on the PZB panel.

Thanks.

I'll check the handbrake. But this is occurring outside of PZB restrictive monitoring ('85' lamp illuminated solidly, no others) and without any brake demand.

Since the last update the handbrake is fixed and implemented in the simulation behaviors. Driving with applied handbrake over 40kph and over 200 amps the power cuts out.

When you use the Auto Start-up do you have to take the hand brake off afterwards?

The auto start also releases the handbrake.
