That works a treat Marleyman. I'll be updating all my splashscreen packs to include your Top Tip. ;)

Great work there guys, @ Fodda; how did you manage to separate the logos from the original image? Would it be possible to upload the logos as file here so we could add them as a new layer in our own images? Hope so!

Cheers

I cut 'n' pasted them all from the original pictures. Fortunately a lot of years spent manipulating images for train sim add ons and work, I'm used to being able to do a pretty quick job separating images.

I won't upload them though as they're all copyright logos so it probably wouldn't go sown too well.

Any decent image manipulation software will have a pretty good mask tool.

Thanks for these, they are a great improvement over RSC's offerings.

Can I suggest you have a look at Vectorian Giotto http://vectorian.com/ which is a free app for making your own .swf movie/slideshow files. I tried it with your background images and had a slideshow within 5 minutes that worked in TS2014. There may be better programs out there but this one is free and user friendly.

thanks eyeore, but for some reason I can't get Flash Player installed on my Win 7 64 bit PC. So I can't look at any swf files.

Have you tried opening the .swf files with Internet Explorer?

I really must thank Fodda for this excellent mod. On my computer it's had the side effect of finally being able to drive scenarios online, previously I had to go into offline mode and turn the router off . I'm assuming it's something to do with Flash player. Once again thankyou for this mod.

It shouldn't be a problem. Giotto works independent of flash player.

All you do is load your jpegs into Giotto, adding them to a timeline, then export the timeline as a .swf overwriting the UI_BG_Slideshow02.swf in the Flash folder. Simples!

I rather liked what RSC gave us this time round.

1 Navigate to Steam\steamapps\common\RailWorks\data\videos
2 create a notepad file named 2013_startup.txt
3 rename 2013_startup.ogv to something like 2013_startupold.ogv
4 now rename the text file you created to 2013_startup.ogv

you will now have a 0k ogv file that skips instead of playing.

I followed these instructions and finished up with a videos file:
2013_startup.ogv TXT 0 Kb
2013_startup TXT 0 Kb
2013_startupold.ogv OGV 30,613 Kb

I get a runtime error when I try to start TS2014 without the opening music/video, so something above must be wrong. Any help, please?

Thanks

Hi, you needed to alter the .txt extension to OGV - not alter the file name 2013_startup TXT to 2013_startup.OGV.txt - it should be renamed to 2013_startup.OGV
