TS2014 Creating a Quick Drive Consist problem.
Good afternoon everyone,
I've followed the steps to creating a Quick Drive consist, as described in the manual, but after hitting next after saving, the consist does not show in the QD list for that loco.
Has anyone else experienced this?. If so, how did you rectify this?.
Thanks in advance.
Very Best Wishes,
Bob.

They go in a custom list all together, so not really that helpful. When you select the Custom icon again, you'll see 'em all there, all together.

Thanks for the quick reply. A slight problem though - when I go into the Custom list afterwards, there aren't any in there, with only the option to create a new consist!.Fodda wrote:They go in a custom list all together, so not really that helpful. Re: TS2014 Creating a Quick Drive Consist problem.
OK, I made one. A Class 153 NXEA pair... For no other reason than I wanted to try it out.
To find it from the Main menu I select the huge Drive button, then Quick Drive.
To get to the consist I choose the Train button at the top of the QD screen, and then in the window that opens I go to the very first box top left which says Custom. I then select the Next button at bottom right, and my consists are listed under the My Trains heading below the Create New... Selection button.
Hope that helps.
Of course, you'll have needed to Save the consist you made and given it a name before it'll even exist.

Re: TS2014 Creating a Quick Drive Consist problem.
Hello again,
Since my earlier post, I've successfully created one QD consist, although after apparently successfully creating - and saving - a consist for a 'Brush / BREL Type 5' (
), that consist doesn't appear...
Very Best Wishes,
Bob.

Re: TS2014 Creating a Quick Drive Consist problem.
Well sorry Bob... I've only played with the QD editor that once and after finding my consist where I said I've not touched it since. I'm sure you'll sort something out at some point.
Anyway, it turns out that you can't specify train type in the QD Consist editor so none of the consists made in it will be anywhere near as good as those made using RW_Tools.
Good luck.

I have had the same issue with the EPB, and Class 58, as well as my WIP Class 73

DT is having issues with all there locos besides the 2MT, they have said the issue has something to do with localisation entry in blueprints or something along those lines on their facebook so the case could be the same for the other ones not saving.

Re: TS2014 Creating a Quick Drive Consist problem.
I had a go doing a quick drive by for the Class 77 as they only appear as light locos.
So having clicked Edit it took a few mins to load the list of vehicles.
I created a train formed of 7 mk 1coaches and then saved it.
I thought it would have appeared under the Class 77 quick drive but it did not - searching down the list I found it listed as EM2 Blue & 7 coaches.
A quick run from Hannover Hbf and it worked.
I notice that if the loco is not set up for Quick Drive then you cannot do a consist.

Re: TS2014 Creating a Quick Drive Consist problem.
Unless I've got the wrong end of the stick in what you say, I have built 2 consists now for locos that I did not have QD with previously. I made a QD consist with the JT Class 20 with some maroon MK1s and a consist with the JT Class 60 and some cargowaggons. Both have saved (the Class 20 even gets a picture in QD menu but the 60 does not) and I have enjoyed a run with both over WLoS.749006 wrote:I had a go doing a quick drive by for the Class 77 as they only appear as light locos.

Good morning everyone,
Whilst on this subject, has anyone had any luck creating a QD for the 56 in TS2014?
Very Best Wishes,
Bob.

I'm in the same boat here - all the consists I try to make with my own rolling stock never show up. The ones I've manually created in my product's own 'preload' folders appear, but when I go the custom route, I can assemble the consist and save it, but it doesn't show up either in the engine list, or in the custom list.bristolian wrote:Thanks for the quick reply. I saw a reference to localisation in this thread and went looking.
In each engine and wagon, there's a section for "Localised Engine Name" (or "Localised Wagon Name"). I spoke to the tech support guys at RSC and at least the English one of those needs to be filled in.
They're going to put a ticket in with their devs to support this better (ie. to deal with empty localised names) so we have two options - wait for the third party developers to fix their blueprints with patches, or wait for RSC to push a patch for the game.

Good evening,
With reference to the Localised Engine Name etc, can these not be added by the user in RWTools, then saved, before trying to add to a QD?...
