Also, I've noticed, you can no longer press <escape> if the game decides you don't have all the required assets installed. I know you can swap out for what you do have, but I'm sure before you could press ESC and carry on.

And, I'm sure I read somewhere else that JSJ or whoever will update his/her patch for track IR, just a case of waiting hopefully not too long!
Yup. My Class 20's cab is upside down as well.
Reapply or uninstall the patch that Just Trains provided for the Class 20 when we went to TS2012. It might be that RSC fixed the error that initially caused the upside down view with the new camera placement system.

I don't own the 20 so can't say for certain if this'll work or not.. (it's the RW3 Hotfix on the JT support page http://www.justtrains.net/supportfaq/cl ... collection )
Yes! The hotfix worked! Thanks very much AndyM77 8)

I did not have the occlusions installed fodda, tbh I don't drive routes often and did not get around to using them. All I know is tunnels used to be a lot darker. I'll not be doing to much to try get it back to dark yet as i'm ordering a new PC soon so seems little point. If all is still light after a I do a fresh re-install, will your occlusions solve this ?

Also think I've lost my Immingham route (yup forgot to back it up) it no longer shows in the menu but is still there in the files. Things have changed though, I used meardy weather and its now set to L2B weather in route properties. Not sure what else got messed with but fear its a loss. Good job I was only a month into it

Apart from that, runs as well as it did before so no complaints from me.
Every single Non-RW/RS route on my system is missing all sorts of assets, thanks God for back-up. Other than that, everything is Ok :D .

Regards Claus
I was stupid enough to only back up my assets not my route :( Still, as I said above, new PC soon so may well start fully afresh.

The utility is for help creating the rain effect images on windows for cabs and coaches. :)

DPSimulation have just uploaded two routes for the Workshop.

'City Lines'
'E&G Extension V1 (for those that didn't have it previously)

For their other Workshop files, here's the link.

OK - I've got it now (admittedly I had to verify cache as I didn't get it all first time) and have now managed to have a quick look at all my routes. First impressions ....WOW! The graphics are sooooo much better and there is clearer sound as well. Colours and textures are more natural (especially track ballast) and yet sharper. I actually did a double take on several occasions as the scene looked "real". Dont know if the game runs smoother yet - will report back in a few days. Will read through this entire thread to see if there are any glitches. But so far from me its sqeak squeak squeak (the sound of a very happy bunny!)

Anyone remember the days when we got RW2 with the brand new Class 37 and Hedborough North absolutely free? or TS2012 when we got super-elevation, cab-sway, headlights and rain effects all in one hit and all for free?

TG2014? Tell me what's significantly different?

Yes they will. L2B had no occlusions, even tunnels. I've done a lot of occlusion work on a lot of routes so far. Just using the TS installer will put them all in (as long as you've downloaded them of course). But any verify cache or reinstall of routes will take them back out. But a quick and easy reinstall of my occlusions should work every time.

Does there have to be anything significantly different? It's a free update after all...

Hi
I might be thick, but the 2014 seems to have installed ok and have run one of the routes that are showing up in my list of routes, but they just seem to be the routes I had on 2013,I can't see any new routes at all.

Or do I have to buy the new new version to get the routes,I only started with TS 2012\3 a couple of weeks ago,so I only have the routes that came with them.

Thanks Fodda for the info and doing the occlusions. A tedious task no doubt but obviously makes quite a difference to the sim experience.

You have to buy the new version to get the routes. The free update only includes the improvements to the interface, graphics etc.

Verify the cache, it's likely that something is missing. (I had 145 items missing which stopped the class 70 scenario from working that I mentioned earlier, was only 20MB of files but enough to stop it from working)

I did verify the cache and indeed 787 items sere missing...updated and installed those , but still the same when I try to start TS2014 " Railworks .exe has stopped working "

To get the new routes / extra rolling stock you unfortunately need to 'buy' again. However, if you're a patient type of person the Black Friday (Thanksgiving) sale will be mid November and of course the big Christmas / New Year sale too, where 50% off will "most likely" be in place for a week or two

Okay, how many times did you verify the cache? once, twice? as sometimes it needs a couple of sweeps for it to work 100%. If you're sure that you are 100% complete then it won't harm going into the /steam/steamapps/common/railworks/install folder and try reinstalling the installers contained within. If it's still a no go after that then get on to railworks support ( support@railsimulator.com ) but be prepared for a wait for a human reply.
