What version did you download. The latest release (V1.0.12) should fix this issue.

I think people need to uninstall V2. reinstall all the assets needed for V2 then install V3 see if that helps

All the assets that are needed for the route should be in the pack you downloaded. If any are missing we are working to resolve the issue. But RWTools reports no missing assets so if anything is missing it is because RWTools fails to detect it as a required item
If you want to install V2 then feel free but the whole point of the assets packs is that they contain what you need.
I am working towards fixing the issues people are seeing (the track issue should be fixed in the latest release) and I am not aware of any other missing items.
Those that are reporting missing items are also reporting that they do not have some of the pre-requisites such as the AP Station pack. They don;t see some items because they don't have the items installed.

Had to google that myself, no manual included I know
Anyway, drop it into your RW directory ..Assets/RSC/APstation
Hope that helps
EDIT just realised how the first line sounded. I mean I had to Google it when I had that problem, it wasn't meant to read 'as I had to Google it, do it yourself next time'

Please can any one explain to me why when I enable TSX and I load the GCR route the screen when it opens is black the trains is there but I can not see it the smoke is white and rest of the screen is black like it is in negative, its ok without TSX but then im still getting the missing texture notice in the sky. I have lots of other add on routes and they work ok with TSX and I have no other problem with my TS just the GCR.
I have downloaded all the freewear stuff again and reinstalled the only one I can not locate is the V2 pack DLC would this be the reason for my enabling TSX showing a black screen on GCR route only.
Yes I have Googled V2 pack DLC it seems to be not avalable.

That sounds like you are missing the sky blueprints. The GCR V3 uses the skies and time of day information from the WCML-N DLC.
It sounds like either you do not have the WCMLN DLC or you have an incomplete install of it (verify steam cache to fix) or you have WCMLN but steam thinks you do not have a legitimate copy of it so it prevents you from loading any asset from it.
Can you check that you have purchased WCML-N. When you install GCRV3 did it warn you about any missing items that are required for the route? IF you are not sure uninstall the route (by running the installer and choosing the uninstall / remove option) then re-install and make sure that you have ALL the required DLC and freeware packs installed BEFORE installing the GCR V3. If you are missing any packs then cancle the install of GCRV3 until you have all the required packs. Then when you install GCR V3 it will NOT give you any warnings (providing you have everything you need).
The WCML-N route is available here:
http://store.steampowered.com/app/24083/
The assets specifically that need to exist for the sky are:
Assets\keithmross\WCMLNorth\TimeOfDay (4 bin files one for each season)
Assets\keithmross\WCMLNorth\Environment\Sky a single sky shape file and a textures folder.
If you do not have the route (WCML-N) then you won't have the assets needed for GCRV3.
Please make sure you have ALL the required DLC as listed on the download page here:
http://www.uktrainsim.com/FreewarePacks ... ack_id=GCR
Thanks
Jim

Do you have all of the other required listed assets installed?

That sounds very much like you have not got all the required pre-requisites installed. When you runt he installer it should warn you if you are missing any items. Did you choose to ignore those warnings. If you did then that is why you are missing assets. The route works but does not look as good as it should.
The station stuff is probably the AP Station pack available here:
http://www.dereksiddle.com/2.html
But you may have other content missing.
If you are not sure what was reported as missing during the install simply uninstall the route (by running the installer and choosing remove) and then re-install it making sure you take note of any reported missing items.
