I'd say enjoy your leave while you can, your addiction for the community spirit will drive you back eventually. Says one who knows.

What's the big deal? You've had two years free simming?
My install is useless right now and I literally have to delete all 100GB of it and reinstall. Then dig around JT and DT and grab the product I do own from them. Then add to the fact ALL my APH scenario packs I've spent money on are completely useless now because I don't have completed additional stock requirements. Even the Class 90 is useless to me at this point.. Like I said. It sounds petty but realize I never really bragged about all my free loot and acted godly about it. It was just a part of me for two years and something I just grew used to having. It's like retiring and two years later your Social Security is cut off..

So.. I just have zero desire to restart and it's best I go..

Thanks for the kind words everyone who responded to this..

Cheers

Yeah, I'll gift Bill a piece of DLC no worries - have enjoyed his work many times over, would much rather shell out for something twice than lose a chap of his ability.......

Come on Bill, write us a list of what you're missing, I'm sure people will chip in......

I agree with this... We have so many folk on this forum that appreciate your work, opinions and just enjoy having you on the forum, that I'm sure, very sure that the members here will come together and get you back up and running.... It's not everyday you get an offer like that, so maybe just see where this goes before you call it quits. Remember that TS2014 is around the corner, so have hope that you still have a chance....

It isn't that easy but appreciate the sentiment greatly. I'm so overwhelmed even thinking about piecing it back together. The last piece of DLC I bought according to Steam is the Class 47 NSE add on.. So.. That's what? Over 3 years worth of content that no longer functions. I was under the RSC roof even before WCML was in beta. I still got all the stuff they even pulled off Steam and all current products in beta. Hell I even emailed Derek about a bug in the 465 before it was sent out.. Needless to say the bug wasn't fixed.. :-) Shame I was going to redo the class 455 cab next since it is atrocious.

Well there you go, a perfect mix of things from the back catalogue, some cheaper than others, something for everyone.

It's up to you bud, people will help out, £300 worth of DLC is a lot to one person, but there's probably 30 people on here who can spare a tenner, even if it takes a couple of months. If you get back into it and there's things you need, update the thread! :usa

Bill, I haven't been in these forums or over at Trainsim much of late, but one of the constant enjoyments for me has been looking for your latest posts and what you are doing. Always quality, whether with a pithy comment or some of your fine adjustments to the visual quality of DLC.

Too many top contributors have gone from these forums for a number of reasons, but this one is surely reversable. I am in line for gifting - totally serious offer and all we need is a list (I understand it might well be a long one, but we can move it around and overall there are some obvious prime downloads and a load of others worth missing).

I understand the initial feelings about what has happened - and the slog of reloading a ton of third party stuff is no fun (been there quite a few times!), but maybe have a think before completely turning away.

Either way, thank you for your ever enjoyable contributions.
