It may have different mirrors & lights but does that justify RSC marketing this Class66 under 3 different guises at a total cost of £35.97.

RSC don't have to justify it, each will run independently and RW_tools costs but a small donation.

Things have certainly changed with the recent one price = one livery policy @ RSC, it's not in the spirit of how it used to be but I guess they have to make their money ... what's for certain is that people ARE buying these things ! Personally I nabbed the 'Powerhaul' with the GEML in a bundle on day 1, not sure if it's still a bundle now but it was a saving all the same ... the alternative of course ... wait for the sales

I'm intrigued as to what the c66 pack number skipped is likely to be, GBRf perhaps ? oh, and not sure on the worth of these things but even the 'Powerhaul' came with wagon stock, not the same I believe as the other FL pack ... to sum up also the v2 c66 is by RSC's standards soooo much better than the original c66 !

Hi guys. Not sure if this is related. But I have purchased and downloaded the Powerhaul version. Now When I try to add it to a custom free roam or QD scenario it does not appear in the Loco selector (other units I have are missing too). I can use the trains in various scenarios they are supplied with fine!
Upon inspection I had a look through my various different files and folders. Now in my Steam directory "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\RailWorks\Assets\Kuju\RailSimulator\RailVehicles" there is only a few of my trains. These all appear as "addable" in the scenario editor. My other trains located in "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\RailWorks\Assets/RSC are not there. This directory contains all my old purchases which work fine with the scenarios they are supplied with in TS2014. I tried to copy the class66pack05 folder into the KUJU directories but there is only a "blueprint.pak" file in there. I can now see the 66 on the scenario editor screen but there are no textures or a nyy other files so i cant actually place the loco on a piece of rail.
Any ideas??
Sorru if thats a bit all over the place.
Regards
Seb

I might be wrong but.. The powerhaul 66 appears to have better engine sounds and dynamic exhaust. It just feels different to the previous one. This might be the placebo affect though.
It also comes with FTA/FSA wagons which have modern containers not BR Freightliner ones like the old wagons you got with the 86 pack. FTA/FSA's are pretty important for GEML freight working and it makes it a pain if you want to swap the powerhaul 66 to the old one because you also have to find a replacement for the FTA/FSA's and swap them..

Hi Seb,
I can't help much with the Quick Drive question as personally I don't use 'em but for using stock in your own scenarios (free roam or standard) you need to enable the stock by 'ticking' the relevant *Provider/Product* box in the scenario editor. The guide at
http://forums.uktrainsim.com/viewtopic. ... 9&t=117021 runs through the process, but if you have any bother don't be scared to ask again--despite our prickly exteriors, we're a really really nice bunch here.....honest
That copy of the class66 folder you made in the Kuju folder---delete it, it won't work because the paths for the files that the game calls upon to display stock will now be wrong, and the copy protection measures will also kick in so even if you edited the files to point to the new location the view would be distorted as the new location won't match the information the game holds to ensure you're entitled to the assets.
You only managed to see the 66 in the available stock list in the editor because the Kuju/Railsimulator PP box will be ticked, and the game is just reading the description from the .bin file for the loco. However, because the .bin file will be pointing elsewhere to display the model/textures/animations the game can't display anything. That's probably confused you even more (confused me as I typed it) but suffice to say that at the moment the class66 copy in the Kuju folder is a waste of HDD space

You have PACK's 3 & 5... which are both Class 66 V2.0's
Also... The combi purchase you bought
should only include Pack 5... so you must have already owned Pack 3 (or possible tried to install a reskin designed for Pack 3)
To clarify:
This is pack 2 =
http://store.steampowered.com/app/222562/
This is pack 3 =
http://store.steampowered.com/app/222568/
This is pack 5 =
http://store.steampowered.com/app/222594/
They are ALL Class 66 V2.0 loco.... However... The reskins will only work with the Pack they have been written for (Reskins that don't mention which particular pack they are for and just mention 66 v2.0, were more than likely released before Packs 3 & 5 were released, and therefore probably are made for Pack 2)
For the record... There is no Pack 4... YET!!!!
No confusion there, they are 3 different versions. The Freightliner, EWS and the Powerhaul. I think I have the Freightliner and EWS. I have been buying software over the internet for about 10 years and the buyer should read properly what they are buying. I have been stung a couple of times through not reading properly what I am buying.
