Not for me until I get a decent PC, but just a note: The release email from JustTrains said that this route is currently ONLY working for those who have TS2012 / RW3 upgraded to TS2013!
Meaning, this route will currently NOT work for anyone who started simming with TS2013!

Re: JT Three Country Corner Route may be just around the corner
This is due to default content, that had been in the simulator for years, being removed when TS2013 was released - we believe if you have the US Contact Asset Pack, European Content Asset Pack, and the Foliage Pack, then you should be able to run the route fine. There may be other routes that have been released that also allow it to work fine if they have included the content from those packs.tnleeuw01 wrote:The release email from JustTrains said that this route is currently ONLY working for those who have TS2012 / RW3 upgraded to TS2013!

I understand. I just wanted to repost your warning on the forum here, I hope you don't mindsimuk wrote:This is due to default content, that had been in the simulator for years, being removed when TS2013 was released - we believe if you have the US Contact Asset Pack, European Content Asset Pack, and the Foliage Pack, then you should be able to run the route fine. It would be nice to verify that these asset packs will allow running the route, but since I have the upgraded version, I will not be able to verify this for you.

Re: JT Three Country Corner Route may be just around the corner
Initial thoughts are, quite impressed, lovely scenery from what I have enjoyed so far in being the two introductory train rides, we really need some Austrian stuff though, only gripe really apart for a couple of places where occlusion has been missed under bridges and the use of 2007 building assets and a lack of SE from Lindau to Bludenz unless it isn't very angled? Need to get in and change the default stock though especially those ancient Avmz Bimz!

Re: JT Three Country Corner Route may be just around the corner
So I finally downloaded the route (took me 4-5 hours on the non-3G mobile connection I have here!). I have seen just about 5-10 miles of it, but I can say that even on my poor laptop it is really a pleasure to drive; the route is definitely unique and keeps your eyes attached to the screen...
Need to see more tomorrow... and I'm for sure looking forward to playing this on a larger screen and better HW when I get back home.

Hmm, depends what you mean Martin, if you've already looked on the Railworks Austria, German and other websites offering OBB locos and rolling stock then I don't think there is anything brand new that you may not already have.smarty2 wrote:we really need some Austrian stuff though,
I have had a look on the JT site tonight and was wondering with their descriptive wording of this route that this is probably the most realistic and detailed route developed for Train Simulator to date, is it more for those who have WIN 7 with at least 4 GB RAM and plenty of GHz CPU wise, I haven't really obtained anything this year from the German, Italian, or, Spanish creators as they have all upgraded to super duper computers with specs that don't match my measly WIN XP, and advertised folks needing to have adequate machines to run their routes on successfully, I am loathed to spend 25 quid on this layout if it won't perform adequately on low to mid-spec computers / laptops.

Re: JT Three Country Corner Route may be just around the corner
Hi Steve, my pc is mid to low spec and it runs ok with all settings on high and medium shadows however it stutters loading all those trees! Very enjoyable drive though especially the Arlberg section. As for the Austrian stuff, what I really meant was for some dedicated fully detailed stock like the croc and not aliased cabs and sounds etc.
Best Regards

Hi
There are already some scenerio packages available using realistic rolling stock:
http://rail-sim.de/railsimnew/index.php ... ad/75/1723
The Croc has already been made by Virtual Railroads in great detail and is also available on the JustTrains website.
http://justtrains.net/product/virtual-r ... -crocodile
For rolling stock I use all the carriages and wagons from Railworks Austria. Also Virtual Railroads has some excellent stuff.
http://railworks-austria.at/
http://www.virtual-railroads.de/
With the exception of the Talent trains and the BR1144 it is all available. The railjet is in development as well.
http://www.simtrain.ch/
So really all we are missing is the BR4024 which is of course the work horse along this route.
Hope this helps a bit
Stefan

Re: JT Three Country Corner Route may be just around the corner
Mornin' Martin, I didn't obtain the Payware Krokodil from Eisenbahnwerk when it came out last year, it's the only one available I think for RW3 and the Austrians did some reskinning of the original to a red one, so, you get a bit more for your money, does it not come with authentic cab detail and soundpack ?
Thanks for the PC specs info. I see I have a few JT loyalty points in my account, so, I may just go for this route, now.
Might need to get the old chainsaw out to cull a few trees to improve FPS....
Cheerz. Steve.

I am using a set of alternate versions of all the scenarios with more realistic stock from the German site.
Doing the first scenario now with a Taurus and have seen some Austrian Electrics.

Nope, it most deffinately DOES come with authentic cab detail and soundpack!TransportSteve wrote:.... does it not come with authentic cab detail and soundpack ?
The Öbb 1189 Krokodil comes with one of the most beautiful and immersive cabs you could wish for. Same goes for the internal sound suite. Pure exellence. All imho of course.
Cab without any lighting switched on:

Only instruments lights switched on:

Amazing machine, both inside and out.
Dunno about the realism but i for one would very much welcome additional scenario's for the TCC route featuring the Krokodil. Would be like two masterpieces come together ! ( just finished the Lindau-Bludenz intro scenario. The TCC route deffinately IS a Masterpiece alright !
cheers,
