Talking of slugs, S Wales and steep gradients - this may be of interest...

They did often venture out of South Wales, in the early 1990's they worked steel diagrams from South Wales to Teesside / Ravenscraig, and limestone from South Wales to Hardendale.
I've got the AP pack and can confirm they're pretty good. You get a Regional Railways/RR Express reskin of the S&C Class 158 too in the "extra stock download" which is handy for those who don't have the standalone cl158.

May I just add that it is well worth the price! Over the Royal Scots Grey wired for sound video, this is very much second best for me, 901 storming up the gradients was very loudrkk01 wrote:Talking of slugs, S Wales and steep gradients - this may be of interest...

I think this will be a "must have" for me - good stock for my S Wales route. I have main line track in to Cardiff at the mo, but haven't tackled Canton just yetBut, I can see a line up of these will be required!
I have only tried it on the scenario pulling the heavy tank train between Exeter and Bristol so far and it is a fair old tug... I did find it quite easy to get the 37/9 to slip if I was a bit too keen with the power handle at low speed.
That .geopdx file is not a code used by the Rebel Alliance...

Not uncommon on the Welsh Marches/Borderlands line either, quite regular on steel workings to Shotton (Dee Marsh junction). Occasionally double headed as well.class313 wrote:All were allocated to Canton when rebuilt, and very rarely strayed outside of south wales.tubemad wrote:IIRC the 37/9's were allocated to the Western region...

In real life, yes but it is hard to tell in game...rkk01 wrote:Are the loco physics notably different?
