Have just downloaded the two UKTS fixes for the 87.

Goes much faster and good to be able to see out of the windows now, thanks guys for doing these

+1 and I have had my ticket finally transferred to RSC support after I gave them a screenshot of the issue, I will keep following up with them on a weekly or so basis. I hope others also submit tickets, RSC seem to only react to squeeky wheels.

I doubt they'll change the physics unfortunately, thanks for for that fix too.

It's amazing this far "in the game" RSC still send out product in this kind of condition.

One of the first two things I looked at when testing products for RSC.

1. Do the wheels spin
2. Do the bogies turn correct

Unreal... This is grade school quality control items being overlooked..

I was going to add the 87 to the collection but having read the less than glowing reports of this model, at even less than a fiver, I think I'll wait for the one anticipated from another production line.

I just ran my 87 and it did not seem to be any different going thru points.
About 10mph on the test track and I was trying to replicate your pictute.

How did you get it to do that?

It seems to be on a ridiculously tight radius curve, there are times when you could be forgiven for thinking that as something is an RSC offering it doesn't matter how as long as you can present a case for it being flawed....no matter how flawed the case itself may be.

It doesn't matter how small or large the radius of the curve is (that particular image was for visual effect)
The wheels don't rotate with the bogie.

Here it is on a shallower curve



and a 47 for comparison



The problem is a result of the wheels not being linked in max to the bogie so the game doesn't rotate them when the bogie rotates.

Inexcusable...Never noticed these before, and I will be doing another follow up to RSC concerning this model, this time I will also mail it to Paul Jackson. I hope you don't mind me using these images?

Like SuperTux says, this is really inexcusable! Surely RSC noticed that!? I'm sure that people on their facebook page will have noticed and sent e-mail's to RSC! I will also get in touch with them, but if they choose not to rectify it, the class 87 will have been the last RSC product that I buy!

If it transpires that the issue with the bogies stems from the work done by DT, will you also be boycotting DT products too?

Yes, it's flawed, there's a problem, but is "stomping of feet and scweaming and scweaming until you're thick" the way to bring it to the attention of those in a position to fix it?
The photo of the DRS liveried class 47 shows the error quite nicely, and also shows what seems to be an error in that particular reskin---if we're going to be fussy the white numerals/text/whatever on the front needs fixing.

The trouble is that RSC never seem to fix anything at all? No matter how many emails they get? Why, I have no idea why because most problems are fixed on here by members or elsewhere and all they have to do is forward the patches to Steam.

Before anyone gets too uptight about the above it was not meant to be a rant against RSC. I simply do not understand why they do not quickly post fixes for mistakes?
