Does it crash when you start the game or when you open the route?
Could it be you deleted a piece of track which a train in one of the scenarios needs to run over?

...which are linked to the track, so if you delete or alter one you could effectively ruin the pathing which a train needs---just as if you'd removed the track.cougar57 wrote: i only change signals....
When editing these signals are you replacing colour lights with semaphores?, are you checking that you're swapping with signals with the same number of 'links'?

Have u tried loading a simple freeroam scenario ,the signaling should be less of an issue in freeroam as long as you have correct links on the track etc.

Re: editing payware and default routes help
Your problem will most likely be with the signals you have altered. It is not a simple straight forward job to replace modern colour light signals with semaphores for instance, and you need to read up about the principles involved.
There are two very good guides by Mark Brinton available to download from this site which explain how they are set up on Rail Simulator. Although produced for Rail Simulator they will give you a good idea on how to go about changing what you want to change. Search for File IDs 17690 and 17957, print them off on paper and have a good read.
regards Ted.
