Thanks very much for the heads up on this, I am just going through the process now and was confused about the 'first time' set up message at first.

Good to hear its not just me. :)

I've just set this running, and I've had a look at the Steam script - runasadmin.vdf in the Railworks main folder - with a text editor. The script is set to run the four installations over and over again for many AppId's - mine starts at 24012 and ends at 222567 - 116 different ID's times 4 means 464 steps. And each time it creates a new entry in the Registry at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\Software\\Valve\\Steam\\Apps\\ .

I'm off to bed leaving it running.

Haven't had this at all and been in an out of Steam all day.. (although not touched Railworks for about a week now) Maybe because I'm always on the BETA client, maybe as I've only ever got 3 or 4 games installed at one time (fast connection), but hey at least I'm (we're) warned now

I went through the whole update palaver without too much fuss. Has anyone noticed much of change? TSX modes looks a little different to me but that may just be the scenarios I chose to load (all summer).

Following on from my post above, the 'upgrade' completed this morning after I allowed it in my firewall, and Steam closed down. When I restarted Steam, it installed another client update, and TS2013 started normally. The 116 new entries in my registry are still there!

This won't have made any changes to TS2013 itself - this was a Steam Client update, nothing to do with the TS2013 software.

Because Steam told me so. Check the update messages on Steam. I'm not the kind of person to make things up.

Nothing has changed in TS2013 - as mentioned above, this was a Steam Client update, not a TS2013 update.

Steam says:

Steam Client Update Released
02:16
A new Steam Client update has been released and will be automatically downloaded. The specific changes are listed below.

Fixed games crashing on startup for some users
Fixed modal dialogs occasionally crashing in Big Picture Mode

Fixed installers running too many times when launching an app. If you haven't run TS2013 in the last 12 hours or so you wouldn't have noticed.
Mine ran about 472 times. Took about an hour to complete.

I also left it running to itself last night so I did not sit and watch it. I know it did have a count of some 380 or so updates. I heard TS load from the other room but by then it was too late to do any simming so I went up to beddy-byes.

THanks for the update though ;)
