All aboard for Tynemouth !

Well its been a while since i started an upgrade for Blyth & Tyne but now am getting very close to a release .So heres a heads up on the route and what to expect.

1) The route now has a new name North East Rails ,the reasons for this is to keep the Blyth & Tyne V2 upload so all the good scenarios that have been created for it by 3rd partys can still be used.(all previous scenarios for B&T will not work on the new route due to the major changes to the old track network, and to stop any confusion.
Also another reason is im possible looking to extend the route south of the river.

2)The full North Tyne loop has been created via Benton and return via Wallsend.

3) And just fort the shipyard workers ive also done the full riverside branch from Byker to Percy Main via Carville

4)The ECML has been added from Dudley down to Heaton which makes a total of 3 new depots on the route Heaton, Gateshead and Gosforth.

5)A new section to the railway never mentioned before is a section of line added by my son joining Backworth colliery to Weetslade colliery through Buradon including the sidings at camperdown, that makes a total of 8 colliery's in total on the route.

6)the route will be fully upto 2013 standards IE crossings that work, super elevation, plenty of rock and role .and 2012 lighting.

7) the route will require Woodhead route to be installed .

8) im looking at adding Quickdrive at the moment ,but we shall see <just looking at the moment.

ps

iv a few days of at the moment and will add some random screenshots this week.

Hi Joe and thanks for that exciting update! The Blyth & Tyne was always an old favourite of mine, and it's great news to see it's being updated - and expanded!

Thanks for all your hard work and dedication :D

PS not forgetting your son either

This is one I've been looking forward to for a while.

I've spent many happy hours pottering around in freeroam shunting at Backworth so it's great to hear that the NCB network is being extended a bit.

Cheers,

Thanks Joe, as a native of Northumberland, the Blyth & Tyne has always been my favourite route.

I'm really excited by this. I don't live far from the former Riverside Branch, and it'll be good to finally travel along it.
