Let Me get this straight. So whats been said here is: in the Assets\Kuju\RailSimulator\RailVehicles\SteamSoundsSupreme_Steam\7F_2-8-0 folder, there should be a folder for each,BRITISH RAILWAYS,Early Crest,Ex Works BR 7F,etc etc and lastly,Simulation which is whats in mine. If that's the case then the copy utility .exe program has worked and copied correctly even if it states an error, is that my understanding? very strange.

Same for me - all geopcx files seem to be thewre. Do we need to do anything else to get the sounds working on the default 7fs?

Not had chance to try the pack yet.

Hi Jarmstro.

There should be a readme for the scenarios with the pack. . I tryed to keep the DLC as low as i could with this pack but still have enough to make the scenarios realistic. All the RCS stuff is on steam. For Digital Traction just go to there site.

REQUIRED DLC
-------------

Somerset And Dorset Joint Railway . From RCS

Settle A Carlisle . From RCS

Woodhead. From RCS

West Of Scotland Lines (Port Road) . From RCS

4F Pack . From RCS

3F Tender loco . From Digital Traction

4MT Tank loco Pack . From Digital Traction ( Note the latest version from DT is needed. Not the old version from Steam.)

Light Pacific Pack . From Digital Traction ( Note the latest version from DT is needed. Not the old version from Steam.)

Its a good time to buy the RCS stuff from steam as the sale has just started so keep a look out for bargins over the next few days.

Chris

Hi Chris and thanks for the reply.

I've bought everything I did not have on the list but am still missing "FP Mk1 Maroon (vp).

Could you please let me know where to get these coaches?

Regards
John A

EDIT: Found them at "Vulcan".

Now to get going with the 7F :D ...............

A few more teething problems unfortunately.....

The 4F pack from Steam does not seem to be the correct 4F for these scenarios. At least, having bought and installed it the scenarios don't think I have it?

EDIT: Scrub the above. Steam hasn't installed it properly.

A little annoying if the scenarios require the separate 4F pack... There's already a 4F in the S&C route, which is also a scenario dependency.

I guess the RSC 4F pack contains freight rolling stock that is used in the scenario??

ETA - I suppose it is Steam sale time...

Just finished the second scenario. Absolutely superb. Honestly the most realistic experience of driving an unfitted steam freight I have had in TS2013.

Can anyone post an outline of the scenarios?

SSS website states "Authentic scenario's for the S&D and two special ones for the Settle and Carlisle line
".

But dependencies listed above includes WLOS...? - WLOS 5MT? rolling stock?

I don't yet have WLOS, the 4F pack or DT 3F - but have bought the 7F enhancement. Would like to work out whether the S&D scearios are workable with the assets I have, or whether I need to make a few more targetted Steam sale purchases (plus the DT 3F...)

The WLoS is a MUST!! Quite a lot of rolling stock is from that pack! I would prioritize that! And the 4F pack.

Hope that helps.

Matts replied already, "Wow" speed of light man, says he's looking at an alternative to install.

The S&D scenarios where done 1st . I had no Intension of using the Settle and Carlisle . I only used it when i wrote the S&C scenario at a later date and thats the only one you need it for.
I used the 4F pack for the S&D . It looks more the part and has some wagons ive used too. The S&C 4F looks too preserved and clean in my opinion . And i was trying to create that real S&D feel.

Thanks Jarmstro , This is exactly what i was trying to get across. A lot of research went into them. With real timetables , real AI traffic ect for a typical midweek day on the S&D, and what it was really like to work on the line.
Glad you enjoyed them.

Hi rkk01

The S&D scenarios need WLOS for the stock. It has a huge collection of stock with it which is why i use it. The 4F and the 3F are used as bankers . The 4F is also used on AI trains. The 4f was a real workhorse on the S&D along with the 7F's .

The sounds and effects are great! I have a few teething issues, which I am sure will be improved, firstly the tutorial scenario does not seem to do much as it looks timetabled and only lets me move forward to stabling the loco. Is it meant to step by step show me the differences?

Secondly, in terms of website I suggest looking at Armstrong Powerhouse to see how things are laid out as its best to list required 3rd party DLC before purchase, even if its just for the scenarios (much like AP does).

The installation method worked OK for me, but I see this is an area that is being further developed :).

Looking forward to more for sure!

Thanks Chris!

Was "puzzlement" rather than any criticism.

I don't have WLOS, but will be watching the sale discounts closely ;-)

That's odd! The tutorial scenario is called [SSS_7F PACK] 01 Driving and Firing Tutorial. You should begin on the footplate of a clean, late crest 7F, in the platform at Bath, on an 8 coach train. Is that not the case for you then?

That's a valid suggestion. We'll consider doing that in the future.

Thanks for the positive comments everyone!
