JT Update of Bristol_Avonmouth

Post by JLD95 »

Hi,
I installed the update (with uninstall before and with a clear cache after):

The problem at Sea Mills is partially corrected :-( Platform is now displayed but a piece of platform at start doesn't exist. Moreover, shrubs are walking in the sky.

Hi,

I think it's not the same station ?
My downloaded setup named "Bristol_Avonmouth.exe" (the same name as the old installer) have the following hashes:

JT know about this little problem and a fix (and TS2013 upgrade goodies) are on their way. See this thread:

I bought and downloaded the route last night after the update was announced on the JT site and I'm seeing what JLD95 is seeing at Sea Mills. Looks like the updated installer was either not available when I downloaded or they failed to put the Sea Mills update in. I'll report it to JT now.

After my downloading, I verified hashcodes to know if update is applied on installer: yesterday, the installer had a new digital signature.

Thanks AndyUK for your confirmation of problem.

Morning everyone,

Out of interest, I've read that there are gradient inaccuracies with the summit of the Filton Bank being before Horfield Platform in the route, whereas in RL it's at the top of the straight section, where the line starts to curve to the right, therefore being about 25% shorter in length than it should be. This was where I spent many happy hours as a young 'un (when four-tracked).
Is this likely to be altered at some stage?.

Very Best Wishes,
Bob.

Not sure if it was like this in the original version but apart from the Sea Mills problem I've got the mid-section of a bridge missing between Filton & Avonmouth as shown in the screen shot. Anyone else got that? Scenery density is set to max btw.

Further to the above I've just passed under that bridge coming the other way, i.e. from Avonmouth, and it was complete. Visiting that location in the editor shows a complete bridge as well :-?. Looks like a false alarm.

I see the same problem at Seamills - also a lot of milk bottles between Seamills and Shirehampton. Haven't looked much further yet.

I checked the route with RW Tools and it listed a lot of assets missing from the following folders:
..\Assets\Kuju\RailSimulatorCore\Scenery\animated
..\Assets\Kuju\RailSimulatorCore\Scenery\buildings
..\Assets\Kuju\RailSimulatorCore\Scenery\procedural
..\Assets\Kuju\RailSimulatorCore\Scenery\structures
..\Assets\Kuju\RailSimulatorCore\Scenery\vegetation
..\Assets\Kuju\RailSimulatorCore\Scenery\vehicles

which I don't have - I do however have those folders under:
..\Assets\Kuju\RailSimulator\Scenery

and one other asset missing:
..\Assets\MichaelWhiteley\E&BR\scenery\procedural\fenceloft2.bin
which I don't have (nor the folder)

Pete,

RWTools reports much the same for me but looking at backups of previous versions of RW and TS I've never had a 'scenery' folder under '..\Assets\Kuju\RailSimulatorCore\' so I've no idea what's going on there or even if the route actually needs those assets in the ..\Assets\Kuju\RailSimulatorCore\Scenery subfolders.

I'll report back when I get a reply from JT ref the Sea Mills issue I reported to them yesterday.

Hi, I had the same issue with the NNR but adding the missing files into the core folder resulted in doubled up the items, so can only conclude that they were placed in that folder in error & then replaced with those in the right folder but the originals not deleted - could be wrong though!
