Hello all,
I don't like being negative but yesterday I uploaded a FGW HST in HP White Advertising livery File ID 31274. I have just checked the file on UKTS.. I have found that the page no longer exists.. It's just gone. I would like to know why this has happened as I put hard time into making my Reskins and I make sure that everything is adequate before sending an application.

No email.. I don't get any emails :/ It was approved because I got a comment from a user that thanked me for it and I haven't deleted it because.. Well.. Why would I do that?!

I've just noticed it's gone which is odd as it was there a couple of hours ago. And I'm the user that thanked him.

Did it contain any .GeoPcDx files or anything it shouldn't have? Just trying to think of a reason why it may have been removed; they don't get taken down for no reason.

That could be the reason Sean it was just a simple copy & paste to install and it did have the Geo and the FGW43 is now payware.

Hmm that's interesting. A lot of other files on the UKTS database also have the Geo file for this such as the New Grand Central HST Reskin. That's still out there. If that's the issue then I will have to work around the Geo modifications..

The only geo's you can distribute are ones made by yourself or permission from modellers of freeware stuff, its against TS2013's EULA to include any form of geo file for distribution as they contain the heart most of the time of the 3d model and what not, we also have not been able to distribute railworks-> TS2013 geo's on uktrainsim since the file library for railworks was established, so its the most lkely reason the file was pulled.

If you see other files having geo's included in download then really they need to be reported to admins as uktrainsim site can get in deep do-do if they are not removed since its breaking EULA if they are geo's of DLC packs.

Thanks for the help crumplezone, I'm sure that a lot of the files are the same too.. I'm surprised that the GC reskin is still avaliable to be honest..

Wasn't it because the HST ect used to be default content, so distributing the .geopcdx files was accepted, but now it is technically DLC, so the rules have been changed accordingly...

Its DLC as of TS2013 edition and TS2013's EULA overwrites all existing legal jargon and distribution rights, so if it says no geo distribution then not allowed pretty much.

Report it to an admin or mod then... same goes for all of the other reskins that were released before TS13.
It's not that much of a 'work-around' just adding a few lines in your readme instructing people to copy a couple of files over. On an additional note, I downloaded your reskin before it was pulled down, looks rather nice.

I normally do that anyway. I edited the Geo in order to make the Numbers black instead of a horrible white..

That wouldn't have been the GeoPcDx file - you're thinking of the TgPcDx file

If you are going to report all the reskins pre-2013 that contain GeoPcDx files you are going to be very busy. It was common practice before 2013 with Kuju assets I believe. Rather than being reworked the most likely outcome would be that they are just deleted I would think.
