I've only had my computer for a year so I don't think dust is the problem.
My graphics card is a Nvidia GEforce GT 555M, I don't think it's that new.

Just a word of caution, be very very careful with registry cleaning tools, they can (and often do) do more harm than good, leading to all sorts of issues that can be tough to fix. Unless you have a very specific reason to believe you have registry issues, I personally wouldn't advise "cleaning" the registry.GCHartley wrote:Firstly, I haven't tried a disk or registry cleanup

Just to clarify, the question you're answering there wasGCHartley wrote:I should have quite a lot of meg, and according to Device manager I'm using just over a half of it, so I don't think it's memory related. I have quite a lot of ram as well.
Memory is RAM, so I suspect that what you're referring to as 'meg' is your hard drive space....might seem a bit pedantic but it'd certainly help if we're all using the same terms for the same things.scorpion71 wrote:How much Gig of mem should you have? How much is it currently saying it's recognising?
More than likely; it's possible that a Windows Update or any other automatic background update has switched the BIOS setting back to using the integrated graphics of the CPU, unlikely as it is stranger things have happened, but even if it had it really shouldn't have slowed it down to such a ridiculous crawl though it's worth checking---If you post the model make and number of your machine somebody will be able to tell you how to access the BIOS, and where to look to check if that's as it should be.GCHartley wrote:I also tried playing different games and I found that they were lagging as well so it may be a problem with my computer.
On a laptop you can usually tell by how the screen is dimmer when it is unplugged. May not be true for all but it was certainly true for mine.Acorncomputer wrote:It still sounds like a power problem to me. Are you sure that the power supply/charger is actually working, have any of the plugs come loose.

I thought this thread was to help you restore your framerates instead of having a needless anti-RSC rant?GCHartley wrote:buying the utterly overpriced DLC, and it seems all of that was a waste. RSC can't seem to find a solution either.
The point hasn't been labelled anymore and I suggest you do the same.thetrainfan wrote:I thought this thread was to help you restore your framerates instead of having a needless anti-RSC rant?GCHartley wrote:buying the utterly overpriced DLC, and it seems all of that was a waste. So? That comment still remains there.xguerra wrote:The point hasn't been labelled anymore and I suggest you do the same.thetrainfan wrote:I thought this thread was to help you restore your framerates instead of having a needless anti-RSC rant?GCHartley wrote:buying the utterly overpriced DLC, and it seems all of that was a waste.
