TS2013 Graphics Issue

I'm wondering if anyone can give me some advice with a graphics problem I'm having with TS2013. Everything has been working fine but I've just tried the new AP Class 50 Pro scenario and the graphics went all funny after 5 mins or so (screenshots below). TS2013 does run whilst this is happening but after 30 seconds or so I get a SBHH.

I've come across this once before with a UKTS scenario for Settle to Carlisle a couple of weeks ago, but apologies, I can't remember off hand which one it was. I couldn't fix the problem after tweaking the graphic settings, so I deleted and restored my graphic settings back to what I've been using since TS2013 was rolled out. Other scenarios on both routes all seem to be OK so I'm a little lost as to why this is now occurring. I have sent an email to RSC support but I'm not holding my breath based on previous experiences.

Any advice gratefully received.

Have you downloaded the extra stock pack?

Thats DRM in action your seeing.

Only happens with the copy protection RSC use on their DLC

Further evidence can been seen here:

Many thanks for the pointers.

The AP Class 57 Pro sound pack doesn't come with a extra stock pack (as far as I could see). With regards to firetrap1's point, can I just clarify, if it's RSC DRM issue and the Freightliner 57 is a Steam only product, I'm guessing the only way I can fix a potentially corrupt GeoPcDx file that might be sitting there to cause this would be a 'Verify Cache'.

Can anyone confirm if that's correct?

Thanks
Andrew

Just for info, I've just tried one of the scenarios that came with the Freightliner Class 57 and had no problems whatsoever. So now I'm trying to figure out if it is the AP pack that's causing the problem (given it only appears to be happening on the AP Class 57 Pro scenario) or the RSC Freightliner Class 57? Me thinks RSC might be off the hook for this one.

Please note that these items are only required if you would like to use the scenario supplied with this pack. If you only want to make use of the sounds or perhaps use them in your own scenarios instead of the included ones then these items are not required.

London to Faversham - More Information

Settle to Carlisle - More Information

Armstrong Powerhouse Class 465/466 (Met-Cam) Sound Pack - More Information

Just Trains JJA Autoballaster - More Information

Oovee Freightliner Class 57/0 - More Information

RS.com Southeastern Class 465 - More Information

AP says you need these if you want to run the included scenario, I think. Don't know if this is the cause as you may already have everything on the list.

The problem could be caused by a texture mismatched stock declared in the engine blueprint coming into view in your scenario. I had this problem with the 101 DMU when I tried to apply the latest 101 TS2013 release to the old 101 blueprints by changing the line pointing to which shape file to use in RWTools. I wanted the updated controls from Anthony Brailsford of the original 101 to work on the latest 101.
When the scenario loaded I looked away from the 101 at the scenery everything appeared as normal. As soon as the 101 came into screen view the screen did what yours looks like. When I moved back away again all appeared normal.

Here's something that may prove a point. Load the scenario again and when it happens, get out of the cab and rotate the camera to look at the back of the train. If all appears normal, swing the camera around until it plays up. You may be able to identify the stock in your scenario that's causing the problem by when it comes into view.

I got the impression that some stock or scenery item is entering the view with textures that the graphics card doesn't know how to process correctly.

Thanks for all the comments. I have checked the scenario using RWTools and nothing is missing so I can cross that one off the list. I've run the scenario twice again to see if I can spot anything as mentioned by Darren. This originally happened after I had exited Hoo Junction and was on the mainline, heading towards Higham. During the two re-tests, the first time the screen corrupted and then SBHH was about 30 secs after I started moving the Class 57, the second time after I had reached the first reserve point and was heading out of Hoo Junction. So there are different timings and I certainly didn't see anything obvious to speak of both times.

Whilst I appreciate all the comments, there's obviously something buried deep within my TS2013 that's causing a problem somewhere but given the RSC scenarios work, I'm tempted to delete said scenario and plan a 'Verify Cache' in the near future.

Regards
Andrew

If it's a reskin using an old .GeoPcDx file RW Tools won't show it as missing, as the item is installed; a verify won't help as it's a non RSC/Steam item. Bit of a cleft stick problem really, try generating a stock list for the scenario and add the locomotives one at a time in a new free roam, testing after each addition till you find the problematic one.

Did the problem occur whilst driving out of the cab? Try it and stop the train and swivel the camera around when it occurs again to see if it cures it.

I get exactly the same problem with the Kuju HST Cross-Country cab view, running on the Birmingham 2010 route.

Incidentally, while on the subject of the Birmingham route, why do all northbound trains entering New Street get routed onto the north end of platform 8 which doesn't leave enough room for the complete train? Unfortunately there's no way of changing the path to use the whole platform.
The real New Street also has one or two more trains in the station at all times!
