Doors not opening

I recently purchased the AP25 scenario pack for the ScECML route. On the 10:50 Edinburgh-Edinburgh scenario, the doors on the front carriage will not open no matter what. Is there a way to fix this?

Perhaps you have stopped to far forward at the station ?

Hello
This is usually because the train has not been brought to a stand correctly in the platform
The train must be in the correct position with the platform marker which acts as the trigger to open the doors
Kind regards Stephen

Hi,

I've had a look at this scenario this morning and don't think it's the train positioning that's causing the problem.
It appears both coaches have the same number (from the HUD), and my understanding of doors opening (from a previous posting on this forum),is that coaches must have different numbers otherwise only one set of coach doors will open.

Another scenario on the GWML called 'Northern in the South' has the same problem.

I don't know how to resolve this.

I have the same problem at WLoS stations. I have the feeling that it is impossible to load passengers at platforms in superelevated curves. Can anyone confirm this or have the same experiences?

Had a quick test at Clapham Junction on L - B which is quite an extreme super elevated curve and don't have any issues.

Cheers,

Chris.

It was a false feeling. At my fourth try today I could load passengers at New Galloway after three unsuccesfull tries in the last days. But today there was no platform - strange!

Did you try to restore the cache? Sounds like a problem with missing or incorrect files. In many cases this procedure helps a lot in solving mysterious problems.

I cleared the cache before I started the scenario.

Close the scenario, clear cache, reload the scenario and the objects should appear again. Had that problem all the time.

Hi again

Sorted out the original prob with doors not opening on AP25 (on my system anyway).

Using Editor, edit scenario and delete 2nd coach of player train.
Add in a replacement second coach, couple to lead coach and save scenario.

Run scenario and check on HUD that both coaches now have different serial numbers.
Press T to open doors and both carriages should now open their doors.

I too have this problem on a scenario on the WLOS route. Not worried about it though as I could finish the scenario.

No need to clear the cache. Just shut down and re-start TS and re-start the scenario.

Platforms and bridges occasionally don't load first time round.

(Tip - if you discover this part-way through the scenario, save it when stationary or under 15 mph if steam-hauled)

Surely easier to just change the vehicle number once in the editor?
