As for 440, the model may be another issue, but as for me - the first moment I saw its description I noticed there's no pzb or lzb... so it is a no go for me for sure.

It is the same with BR232 - if it would have pzb, I would definitely get it in the sale now.
Too bad RSC's models always miss something: BR423 - inferior sounds, 232 no pzb... :(
The 232 is a very good model - even better with the Sound patch off RailSim.de
Lack of PZB is not a problem to me - I don't like the current version when you don't get a sound at a Vr0.
The version on the earlier locos from vR are much better where the the PZB sounds at a Vr0 signal

Shame the makers don't do a Simple and Full PZB versions of the locos.

You are right, but I still prefer some support rather than none at all. I know that 232 is a good model and may still get it, I'll see...

Could someone please confirm if the br294 pluspack is also ok to get the TTB sounds for br423 and if I can use the patch on rail-sim.de to make them work ? The patch on rail-sim.de only speaks of br143 pluspack so it may not work with the 294 one?

So do you think the patch from rail-sim.de:

http://rail-sim.de/railsimnew/index.php ... -ttb-sound

can be used to update the sounds using br294 pluspack as well? The patch description mentions the br143 pluspack only...

It works with both as the ttb 423 installs to the same place with both packs

Excellent, many many thanks...

I realised I would prefer this pluspack rather than the br143 one...

BTW TTB don't have sales I guess so there's no point waiting for one... ?

They have released the 3 pluspacks on disk for a reduced price, but postage can be expensive. Usually Amazon de is the best option.

All four packs on a disk for 30 euros!
Retailers also include Aerosoft.de and Halycon.de. Maybe they have better shipping costs than Amazon.de although personally I think shipping costs are pretty much aligned between the three stores.

Not quite, you get a lot more than just the sounds for the unit for your money when you buy the plus-packs.
