I was about to mention this as it gets mentioned on Rail-Sim.de.

A Google translation

This article provides an overview of some features to the upcoming new add-on: Berlin - Wittenberg.

Features:

115 km double track electrified railway from Berlin Central Station (depth) to the airport Berlin / Brandenburg and Wittenberg.
12 km south rail line (line S25 town of Teltow to Potsdamer Platz) with busbar and specificity in signaling (mechanical distance attacks, multilevel signaling down)
30 detailed stations / stops
1 Bw (Wittenberg) with extensive jumpering, diesel station, cellar and water crane
1 freight station (Großbeeren) with several sidings and loading containers for Rangierszenarien
lifelike Ks signal from the signal system team
PZB (500/1000/2000Hz-Magnete postponed) of virtual Railroads
LZB indicated visually
Distance markers every 200m, with the S-Bahn every 100m
Sightseeing in Berlin (Potsdamer Platz to city limit)
Superelevation in a wide range of add-on
Own weather model
Detailed, highly sophisticated night effects
High degree of simulation / real landscape
Rolling double-deckers with DBz matrix display
12 scenarios

No indication as to who is making the route.

Looking forward to this route :)

Suspect it will come through aerosoft, as they are RSC's German partners, and the stock included would suggest this as well.

Got to love Google translate. Some of it is quite good but..
'mechanical distance attacks, multilevel signaling down' ??
I think the German means automated route announcements and various levels of deceleration signaling (if that makes sense ).
Rangierszenarien are shunting scenarios.
Love the 'rolling double -deckers'. (Rolling stock includes double deck coaches ,Doppelstockwagen)

Yes, it is Aerosofts baby, hope it is constructed better than their Koln effort, definitely not purchasing until reviews come in.

There is a thread on railsim.de somewhere about this route. It is not the same creator as Koeln - Duesseldorf, he seems to be quite painstaking with the route and has said that eventually the route will reach Leipzig. It will be a two part release IIRC. Mechanical distance attacks etc refers to the inclusion of the S bahn signalling system which is a little different from the mainline system. I suspect that aerosofts main contribution will be marketing and Rolling Stock, probably a variant of the K-D. IIRC this route started out as freeware, but certainly has been in production for over a year now.

Yes, I suppose I should let the screenshots speak for themselves, Just wary of Aerosoft's amateur approach to scenery imo.

Pity its not set in the 1980s, then we could do British Military Train scenarios, which I think would have gone this route. Unless its a new line thats been put in since the fall of the wall?

There have been a few changes in the Berlin area since then, and along the line as well. For an idea check out the MSTS route from Vizzart Berlin-Halle

That's the one, but unfortunately the screenshots are limited, you really need to drive the route to see it. Works well in openrails as well as MSTS, a nicely implemented route, look forward to the Railworks release even if it is a little too modern :D

Looks beautiful, seriously some heavy modelling there...even tho it's only 96 km long, in its first stage anyway. I am bit concerned, that from out of 'box', it has 12 scenarios, but i only wonder how many of them, if any, is drivable as out of the 'box'. They would seem to require lot of payware rolling stock, including those from railworks, ie. included before TS2013, but now it would need European asset pack to run (or maybe just M-A).

I have mixed feelings on this, lovely looking route, plenty of new models (buildings, that is), but scenarios that would need payware rolling stock to run...hmm

Using RW tools most of them should be able to be run I should think, but ultimately for the German scene you generally need a certain amount of pay-ware for reasonably prototypical scenarios, much the same as for the British.
