Yes, it's not a fix for any program, rather for the system as a whole.

Be aware though that the 3 gig switch is not a magic cure. It "may" work for you but YMMV depending on your OS, Graphics Card and System memory. Essentially you are borrowing from peter to pay paul. That said, its worth trying, and easy to revert should you experience problems.

Just remember the /3G values can go usually from 2560 to 3072 in 128K blocks.
So start at 2560 and choose the minimum that works.
As someone states this affect thw whole system not just TS2013.
Upgrading to Win 64-bit is a much better option

A 64 bit upgrade would definitly be good. Not only can you use all of 4 gig, but you can go higher too, which will further improve performance and stability. The best thing is it's totally free, as the licence key is valid for both 32bit and 64bit versions. The only condition is that you must have a full version of Windows 7, not an upgrade. All versions of Windows can be legally downloaded, http://www.pcworld.com/article/248995/h ... _disc.html provides links to all of them. You need to make sure it's the same version you have (e.g premium, ultimate) as that is what the key is for. The downloaded ISO needs to be burned onto a DVD, or put onto a bootable flash drive. Just to clarify again, these downloads are 100% legal, as they cannot be used after 30 days without a geniune key from Microsoft.

Chris
We need to clarify this:
A 64 bit upgrade would definitly be good. Not only can you use all of 4 gig, but you can go higher too, which will further improve performance and stability
In this statement I believe that you are referring to physical RAM whereas the /3G switch has nothing to do with the Physical RAM - it is to do with the Virtual Address Space which is limited to 4GB MAX for a 32-bit app with the large address aware flag set eg TS 2013.
In a 32-bit OS 2GB of that 4GB VAS is given over to the kernel/system and 2Gb (minus most of the VRAM) is allocated to TS2013. The /3G switch attempts to increase the VAS available to TS2013 (minus the VRAM) up to 3GB leaving just 1 GB for the system. (Note the /3G switch should not be used in a 64-bit OS).
In a 64-bit OS TS2013 gets the full 4GB VAS (minus a tiny amount) and the OS gets up to 8 terabytes (yes terabytes) of VAS and does not interfere with TS2013's VAS.
In a 64-bit OS you could have only 2GB Physical RAM installed but the VAS for a 32bit app would still be 4GB and for the OS up to 8 terabytes.
What I am saying is that the VAS is part of the OS and is independent from the physical RAM which is part of the hardware :) .

Looked into 64bit OS options yesterday and I'm not sure they're going to help.

I'm currently running an Abit ix38 quadGT mb with a C2D CPU. Chipset drivers available for XP & Vista. Various positive and negative views on the net regarding this set up with Win7.
