errrrr...I could tell you, but whether it'd be intelligible is another matter.

Best thing to do would be to pick a reskin you fancy, then we could deal with specifics rather than a general thing; in fact pick 3 or 4, just in case your first one does happen to be non-compatible.

I'm now wondering about the ethics of re-hashing somebody else's reskin, so if you make a list we'd have to contact the original author(s) before chopping and changing their work etc.

That's why I'm going to look at the AP / David Hossack ones first. The same re-skins are on here for the RSC 37 and on AP for the S&C 37. No permissions therefore contravened, just provides an easy way to investigate cross compatibility

They may look the same, but the S&C model uses compressed/non-compressed textures whereas the Class37Pack doesn't. OK, you can use the single texture for both instances by copying and re-naming but that could lead to graphical issues.

I haven't investigated the files yet - just downloaded them. When I say the "same" re-skins, the AP "sponsored" David Hossack re-skins on UKTS (for the RSC 37) are for the same locos as the AP / David Hossack reskins (S&C 37) on the AP site.

So they provide a good opportunity for comparison. If it doesn't end up being feasible I'll use the S&C re skin (as I have the S&C 37). If it is feasible, it opens up a lot of possibilities with the RSC 37 being unavailable

It works, you can apply a Class37 pack skin to the S&C model, you just lose any dynamic numbering due to the S&C version having the large bodyside numbers. You'll need to apply a new alpha channel to a couple of texture files to render them invisible and a handful of files need renaming to fit in with how the S&C model works but that's not a huge task.

I have done a couple of large logo reskins of the S&C 37/4 using the textures contained in the file below as a basis, with the kind permission of adburgess1992:

Invalid File ID [23029]

Will upload them this evening.

Next question is getting AP sound packs to work with it?

I think there is a patch included in the Class 37 pro pack for S&C locos.
