.......and of course many just can't resist stoking the speculative flames.
Is it not a case of "speculation" filling the void where there is a lack of clear information for the consumer?

I don't doubt there are a few mischevious posters around, but there are also a lot of very genuine enquiries regarding whether the "discontinued" models are likely to be available again in the future. I cant see that it would hurt RSC to engage with the community and outline their future intentions for relaunched or repalcement models.

Does the default Class 37, as us veterans know it by, not feature in the European Communty Asset pack on Steam, then, for the newcomers?

Of course

But the frustration is that (almost) all of the reskins and scenarios that are around are for the RSC 37...

... and yes, they could be swapped out for Kuju 37s - but for a WR flavour the centre box version is a much better fit! (I appreciate that might sound whiny, and if requesting a new centre box model from developers I would accept the criticism - but there is already an extant centre box 37 model, with many reskins that are relevant to my periods / regions of interest  )

Well, you may be correct about the scenarios, it's not my area of expertise young Sir, however, I have quite a few reskins of the default class 37 in my folder that gives me plenty of enjoyment, all obtained from the UKTS library, I think, there is the heavily weathered assortment from bdy26 which can be found in the UK FP Classic Diesel and Electric pack, plus numerous reskins from David Hossack and Ashley Burgess, and uploaded today is a refurbished textured default model from Bill Platt.

Cheerz. Steve.

As good as the model looks, the class 40 isn't exactly an obvious void, is it?

Has anyone dropped RSC a mail enquiring about the class 37 pack?

Looks very nice indeed, but I've already got two decent versions both updated by their respective creators to include free TSX upgrades. I have the 37 Pack and still use it often. Maybe it will be re-released with the Kuju references removed like the Class 31 as someone has mentioned before.

Yes, the versions we have now are very nice to. It was more what they would be doing in the future that i was thinking of, plus the new features.
Perhaps someone could list the locos in the obvious void, to give an idea to any creators what they are?

Wont say any more after this...not that i said much anyway...I hope my earlier post about the 50, etc., dissappearing didn't sound negative in any way, it definately wasn't supposed to sound that way, appologies to anyone if it did. It was more exited curiosity. It's the mystery of it all that gets you going. Maybe that's a good thing?

class 66 01, class66 02 class66 03.........muttermutter........$$$$$$$..... mutter mutter... do they take US for a load of mugs just here to fill bank a/c. Once a product is out leave it available, that's why I only use freeware in my routes. Spend months doing a route and have it spoiled by stuff being unavailable or withdrawn.

I can see many of us feel the same way about this. I had a look around online and cant find much in the sense of products realeased on disk. The 08 and 66 are still every where, and on amazon there is the railworks class 37 edition but unsurprisingly it's out of stock. I sent Railsimulator an email explaining how we feel about removing content and how new starters to the sim are missing out and the response was. "please consider that items are removed periodically for a number of reasons, sometimes it is just so they can be made compatible with the newer version of the game" So take that how ever you will, so may be some stuff will be realeased but the question is will it be as it was originally realeased or just a new livery version like the strathclyde class 101.

Class 08 available? I need to dig around then...

'New' customers like me really need a drivable Class 08. There are some wonderful looking re-skin available here. There are so many under-used freight yards in the various routes that I own or have downloaded as freeware crying out for a bit of 'gronk' action, whether green, blue or whatever (black even). But currently I am forced to shunt with big locos... and though Class 66s do a fair bit of shunting themselves these days, in the good old days, your trusty 'gronk' would do a lot of the leg work.

Come on RSC - get that f**ming gronk back on line. <toot toot>
That .geopdx file is not a code used by the Rebel Alliance...

There is a BR Black class 08 with the Woodhead route, and there is a BR Blue reskin on this site.

With so many people wanting old deleted traction and RSC not wanting any more revenue from discontinued stock maybe they should just upload to here as freeware for everone to enjoy. And yes some people like me have paid for it and newbies could get it for free but what the heck, i bought in a 50% off sale did people who paid full price complain so why complain if they gave it away.
