Looks absolutely fantastic! The previous versions of Crouch Valley are very, very good, so very much looking forward to this.

You could always release it as a patch but it really does depend on the work needed.

From my understanding its fine! Stuff like this becomes an issue when you are making money off of it.. As its a freeware route (It is right?) then you should be fine!

I had to try out Making Tracks Great Eastern (I don't know why I never did).. and it really excites me for this route

Hello. I saw some posts on here last night about lack of yards on the modern route but they seem to have vanished?!
There are still some yards left if shunting is your thing with Ilford and Colchester being quite large. There are also smaller depots at Gidea Park, Romford, Shenfield, Southend Victoria, Southminster and 3 different yards at Ipswich.
There is also a yard included at the East Anglia Rail Museum at Chappel and Wakes Colne.
So still plenty in modern times but obviously a shame that a lot has gone from yesteryear.

That'll suit me, Jim. Routes with less marshalling yards are quicker to load up and take less time to populate with empty stock etc. It is also my intention to remove all catenary from your routes (I have done this satisfactorily with many routes already including Edinburgh to Glasgow, Settle, WCMLNorth and Woodhead) provided, of course, you have no objection. As I prefer end to end running and diesel hauled operation, I don't care if the buildings are newer and the trees are older(!)
Really looking forward to the Great Eastern and the separate Essex branch. I'm still hoping that the Norwich Branch Lines is eventually released as well - then I really will be in Railworks heaven.

What stock was used before electrification of the Great Eastern mainline, class 47 and mk1/2's? 1st generation DMU's? And does the Cambridge line has any special name to it, from Liverpool Street, that is?

Makeone, Services out of Liverpool Steet were regularly operated by 31s, 37s, 40s, 47s and services in E anglia (esp Summer Saturdays) from the Midlands used 2x20s, 24s, 25s, 25/3s with a very occasional 44/45 through to March from Peterborough. DMUs used have included 101s, 105s, 150s, 153s, 156s, 158s, 170s and shunters were 03s and 08s. Many of these classes have seen numerous liveries from the mid 60s through to the present day so there is a very varied range of available stock in TS2013 for this route. So who needs catenary.... And then, of course, someone is building a B12......

As I understand the situation, the RailSimulator.com EULA would permit that with their products but I think it would be best to check the appropriate EULA concerning using assets from other developers, or contact them for permission.

To be fair, you
do need catenary, but maybe only on the Suburban lines if representing the era you are discussing. Electric suburban services reached Liverpool Street in 1949. So even in the days when you could find Oliver Cromwell on a Norwich express, there were still electric trains humming their way around.

I am so pleased that the GEML is being built at last, I have had TS for a couple of years now and I have wished that the GEML would be created to some extent, With this and the Wherry/Bittern Line (Hoping that that project is still alive as all seems to have gone a bit quiet on that front) I will be in Train Simulator Heaven!
p.s The route looks absolutely amazing, good luck on the last mile or so...

Right, as i also remembered reading on some EMU's quite early on the GE-line, those were the class 306, that started their life as 1500V DC-units and were later converted to 6.25/25kV system.
I also remember reading that there was some electrification scemes earlier, before nationalization, but now can't remember where it was, but somewhere 'around' London...

Oh, and i meant OHLE-system, not 3rd rail.
