Re: Crouch Valley 3 - Great Eastern
This is still excellent news for those of us who haven't got the RSC version. I look forward to running my AP class 90 up and down it.

Re: Great Eastern
Hey gypbrc. Sorry to be a pain but i was just wondering if there is any news on the East Anglia route? really interested in the route as i guess many others are and hope this route is making progress.gypbrc wrote:Hi there
I still have the Bittern/Wherry Lines route and run it now and then. It could really do with an update to 2013 folder structure and foliage though and the problem of doing that has put me off thus far.
I presume the mods locked the topic as I hadn't contributed for a while but they didn't tell me.
I'm working on something else at the mo and depending on how things go I'll get round to sorting out the route.

How can that be too detailed? How can you have too much detail?!
That is looking great!
Looking forward to this very much

Looking awesome Jim
Really cannot wait for this, even if I do have the GEML.

I never bothered with GEML as I was waiting just for this one - free and highly detailed - what more could you ask!bri2808 wrote:Looking awesome Jim

Re: Crouch Valley 3 - Great Eastern
It looks great. I really looked forward to your route before RSC's was announced. Since RSC GEML I've sunk so much time into it making activities.. but still I can see myself possibly doing the same for your version.
Did you make the shard and other skyline assets or are you using RSC GEML as a requirement?
Re: Crouch Valley 3 - Great Eastern
There will be a full announcement next week regarding this route and this will explain all regarding assets.
GEML will be a requirement, of the deluxe version, due to the assets with this route that are required, in particular London Liverpool Street. There is no freeware alternative. And there are some other good assets that are pretty essential or desirable such as the Class 360.
BUT I am working hard to create a second version of the final release that will not need the GEML and as few payware routes as possible. This version will most likely stop at Stratford. News next week as I am working on it all this week so see what I can do to remove payware requirements.

Your efforts are appreciated, Jim. The previous version of the route was one of my favourites, and, after having bought the GEML pack in the sale, I am really looking forward to this.
Best regards,
Manuel

Re: Great Eastern
Hello,
I've been following this for a while and am pleased you've gone to the end despite RSC creating their own version; this looks superior
Many thanks,
Anthony

Just a quick question though, have you been able to use the GA announcements in the route?jimessex wrote: I have emailed network rail for permission to use Greater Anglia station annoucements but no reply as yet.

Re: Crouch Valley 3 - Great Eastern
Hello, there will not be any station announcements as Network Rail never replied beyond the automated response and being assigned a case number.
Perhaps someone else may want to add some later on but they are time consuming as I would rather get this released.
Talking of which, today reached a monumental point in the build of the route, apart from testing and altering a few bits I am not happy with, the route is 100% complete and now runs between London Liverpool Street and Ipswich with branch lines to Upminster, Southend, Southminster, Colchester Town, Braintree and Sudbury.
Still a little bit of work with the aforementioned testing but its closer then ever now.
I appreciate that interest has died since RSC released their own version but I think this tops it and feels far more like a real working railway then Rsc's version with far more detail. I mean no slight towards GEML as I would not of been able to complete Liverpool St without their assets and of course without their work on the sim full stop, none of this would be possible.
More in the full update next week but for, now a cold beer before testing

No worries, I agree the release should come first in this case.
Congratulations on the completion of the route, my interest in this project has not been affected by RSC's version. Good luck with the texting and enjoy your beer

I think you underestimate the interest in this Jim.... The branch lines alone give it so much not to mention the higher detail and painstaking effort you have gone to get this just right. Hope you enjoyed your beer, now chop chop lets release it
