Glad your route it still going to be completed great work Jim

Does anybody know when the electrification on the line to Norwich was completed and class 86s took over as i can not remember wwhat year that was?

Electrification didn't reach Norwich until 1986 so it was probably then.

Hello, thanks for asking.

Its still going on behind the scene. By the end of tomorrow I plan to have the final piece of track laid, which will be a nice moment.

Then two miles of signalling and scenery to complete before testing and then its done.

Small update if anyone is still interested.....

241 thousand, 401 metres completed...

998 metres to go.

Christmas is on the way :-)

Fantastic news, still really looking forward to this route. One positive to come from RS.com releasing a route covering much of the same ground is that there is now a good selection of suitable rolling stock available or in development :)
