She does look rather special, as a steam fan I am certainly looking forward to this.

Re: RSC working on an LNER A4
I shall wait before I decide finally given that I have 4 of these from the JT pack already, but they do look quite good.
Re: RSC working on an LNER A4
Terrible texture work.... Looks like it's made of plastic
Why couldn't the steam loco sit down? - Because he had a tender behind.

Re: RSC working on an LNER A4
but if its out on Thursday, and tomorrow is a bank holiday, how much work can they put into it at this late stage in two days.
400 miles of GWML and the runs to Birmingham, Impossible, impossible i say
Re: RSC working on an LNER A4
Come on Keith, you know the score by now, if its RSC it must be treated with contempt and even if the model is superb then they'll fall back on the price.lemberg wrote:Here we go again, berating it before it comes out, I suggest you read the the text on the pic as it says work in progress.

Re: RSC working on an LNER A4
I for one think that this A4 is superior to the Just Trains version with the texture work and detail of the model. Just because RSC make what some would see to be inadvisable decisions with dealing with sales policy doesn't mean the product that is being sold is terrible. looking at it we have a nice quality cab and sounds by SSS and I would presume that the Port Road MK1 coaches are going to be chucked in too. And for the price of £11.99 we get the 6 surviving models in correct livery and with the correct variations between each one, compared with some of the previous releases this is one of the best deals ever if you are a steam fan. Some might complain that it is only six but that is what re-painting is for, and as a new convert the steam side of the railworks I am highly tempted by this

I love it - enough said.
Re: RSC working on an LNER A4
Is it going to be £11.99? That would be good value, I was expecting the A4 pack to be set at a higher price.pacerfan wrote:I for one think that this A4 is superior to the Just Trains version with the texture work and detail of the model. Does anyone know how these are fitted out, will they be as preserved for mainline running or to suit the paint schemes period?
I can understand peoples views on the textures we are seeing so far, but I think they are quite good if a little smooth, they certainly seem to have a more solid look than the JT offerings.
I'm looking forward to be able to have a go at messing up the textures myself sometime in the future though.
Re: RSC working on an LNER A4
Well, if they publish a pic on an open forum comment is inevitable! Would there be howls if people responded with praise? I'll prob buy anyway, but I reserve the right to comment good or bad, before and after!lemberg wrote:Here we go again, berating it before it comes out, I suggest you read the the text on the pic as it says work in progress.

Bittern's 90mph test run. Hope we get the same thrash from the RSC model.
(Released tomorrow evening.)

Re: RSC working on an LNER A4
I don't know if anyone else noticed.... but RSC subtly changed their Facebook cover picture, removing the announced release date... don't know if anything should be read into that!

Re: RSC working on an LNER A4
Around 90 mph - impressive loco, impressive video!
Do anyone know how fast Bittern really run?
