I tried to install RWTools earlier and I got the following message.
"RW_Tools V4 has not been installed because of the following reason:
Cannot create the following file:
C:\Windows\system32\SAWZipNG.$$A
You will have to run this utility again to complete install RW_Tools V4"
Which needless to say I tried and still can't get past this stage.
Is there no way to make EasyApply work?

Whenever i try to change the sound files using RW tools, it just comes up with 'no rolling stock was selected'. How do you change more than one loco at the same time then?

I am running as administrator, but it keeps creating a .bak folder and a strange file next to it (0kb) which I then have to delete to get the folder back to it's original form. Arghh this EasyApply utility is anything but!

You may be logged on as an Administrator, but under Win 7 you don't get Administrative rights until a program asks for them. Try right clicking the installer and chosing "Run as Administrator"

K2rover wrote:Hope I have not missed the boat on this one. I bought the MTU Sound Pack at the weekend and have this exact problem with the 'disappearing vehicles' from the game and .bak file name change problems. However, I have no clue how to use RailworksTools. In fact, I don't know if I even have it. I really want to use these sounds on more than just the FGW HST. Can someone please help?
It sounds like you are doing what i did when i first tried using the 'EasyApply' utility in class 47 pro. When you select the loco that you want to change the sounds on, another folder comes up underneath called 'Engine' (you usually have to scroll down once to see it). Select this folder and a file will pop up in the right hand larger box that may say 'class 43_.bin' or something like that. You need to highlight this line and then click the 'Modify Sounds' button. If you just select the locomotive number and click 'Modify Sounds', you will end up with the .bak file name change problem that you are experiencing. Hope this helps you.

Oh ok. Thank you very much for your advice. That's something I haven't tried so I will give it a go and see if it makes any difference.
