Hi guys,

We at FreewareScenarios are busy developing some great scenario packs that will available to download from UKTS.

Our aim is to produce around 15 scenarios per pack with lots of AI and adverse situations to keep you all glued to the screen in anticipation.

Our first pack is already underway and updates/progress can be found here:

http://forums.uktrainsim.com/viewtopic. ... 130954&e=0

Be sure to like our facebook page for more information and be the first to see our releases. Also we welcome all feedback and suggestions for future releases.

If you are a budding scenario creator and have the ability to create detailed and realistic scenarios and would like to include any material for our upcoming packs then we would love to hear from you.

Regards

Chris.

I just finished scenario #1.. If I could make a suggestion and it's a problem a lot of scenario makers make.

I dig tight timings between stops as it really makes you know the route well but they are too tight.. You shouldn't need to go from 0%-100% just to get a jump on the schedule so you can hit the next stop on time. I also don't like flying into stations at 40mph and applying 80% brakes at the last minute to make a station stop on time.. A few of those stops (driving like that) I made the schedule by a matter of seconds. I should be able to wait for the doors to close, see the door lock, disable the DRA, release the brakes and proceed at a normal throttle application.

Styckx Your comments and feedback are invaluable to the future productions of our scenario packs.

These scenarios were created some time ago and have been in testing for some weeks before we made the decision to release them. The mention of ''tight timings'' has come up whilst the scenarios have been in the testing process and although i can completely understand your point we made the decision to leave them as they were. The reason we decided to do this was because the pack contains 13 scenarios, all of which are of a varied length, different traction and difficulty level.

All feedback we receive will obviously help us improve in the future and we will make and effort to ensure the timings in our next pack are not 'unrealistic' that it means you have to rush to complete it making the scenario thus that you don't enjoy it.

Thanks again for letting us know your thoughts and we look forward to any other points you wish to make when you play the other scenarios.

Don't forget to like us on facebook to keep updated.

Glad to hear.. Not complaining.. They're free so.. :) But you seemed engaging and proactive so figured I'd drop some feedback. I know there are all sorts of drivers in this game and everyone is different. I tend to try to obey procedure as best as possible, slow down when I see the initial speed reduction sign etc. I tend to use the F3/F4 menu purely for the time and distance (and not the speed limit changes.. I read the signs if the route is done well enough) to the station since I don't know all the UK routes by heart and some of those stops are right around blind turns. :)

Glad to hear it.....and we are fully aware that you were not complaining. We have tried to make these scenarios as realistic as possible so its great to hear what people think of them once they play them.

Regards.

Hey Styckx, I was one of the testers (What a great time and what a great pack) who raised the tight schedules so i know where you are coming from. Chris did amend a few here and there but I think it would have meant going back to the drawing board on so many that what is a brilliant pack would have been delayed further. I know the L2B route pretty well and it STILL caught me out in several places, so I sympathise with you. Cant wait for some more packs on here like this for some of the other routes :D
