How do these new sounds compare to those supplied with the Strathclyde 101?

Can they be applied to the above relatively easily?

Good evening,

I'd actually forgot about the Strathclyde version of the 101, I'll sort it out over the next couple of days.

Very Best Wishes,
Bob.

Hello,

Yes, the AI DMU screamed at me too :(, I don't know why, as all I've changed are the sounds, and not any control, bin or xml files...

Very Best Wishes,
Bob.

Hello Mark,

I'd read before I released the current version for the 3 DMUs (the Strathclyde 101 and the 111 will be finished soon) that the 'apply to consist' setting had to be changed from eFalse to eTrue to remove the screaming gears. That has already been done.

Quite why the DMUs still scream when in AI mode though is not clear to me, perhaps someone can elaborate?.

Very Best Wishes,
Bob.

Downloaded and installed this morning successfully. Very impressive - you've even got the Cravens "clunk" that I remember so well. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you, kind Sir,

Whilst appreciating that there is a long way to go with this project (I'd really like to have slightly different sounds for each gear...), it is gratifying to read the comments thus far, overall the sounds are improving the overall experience of driving the various DMUs. Would anyone like to see the classic 'f*rt' starting rasp from the exhaust incorporated?

I'm not a 3D modeller (I wish I was), but I have some sounds that would suit a 119 or 120 that I'd love to see in-game...

Very Best Wishes,
Bob.

Evening everyone,

I've had a go at incorporating the exhaust 'fa*t' rasp towards the beginning of the sound file.
The link is here:-
https://www.dropbox.com/s/23k1e87341q53 ... Rasp.dav?m

If you do want to try it, back-up the previous file firstly, then copy this downloaded file into your Assets\ RSC \ Class101Pack \ Audio \ RailVehicles \ Diesel \ Class 101 folder.

Very Best Wishes,
Bob.
