Thanks for sharing your work on the sounds, I'm about to give them a try.
If you don't want to start from scratch on the acceleration a couple of us posted some data a long time ago that helps to make the performance more realistic, it's probably in the 'Older Versions .....' section, and I think there may even have been an upload to the library of some better physics. There's even a complete rework by 'James' in this thread: http://forums.uktrainsim.com/viewtopic. ... 1&t=120168

I read the thread, and downloaded the latest version of the 101PRO that was linked before the thread was locked (at only 4 pages?)...
The 101Pro was a very nice drive, When using my sounds with the Pro version of the 101, it seems that I should be able to utilise other elements of my original journey recording for the remaining three forward gears...
If that does work out ok, I'll then have to try altering the 'other DMU' files to match.
Thanks for pointing me in the direction of that thread
Very Best Wishes,
Bob.

Re: !st Generation DMU sounds.
I'm having difficulty in downloading the sounds. If I choose 'Priority Download' I get an .exe file and if I select 'Free Download' I'm asked to login or sign up is that correct? I don't have a 4 Shared account and I'd rather not give my email address to yet another organisation and open myself up to even more spam.

Morning Andy, that's strange. Free downloads are supposedly freely available to anyone.AndyUK wrote:I'm having difficulty in downloading the sounds. One other chap said that he'd had the .exe problem, but others have successfully downloaded and installed.
Let me look for somewhere else to place the files... Do you have Dropbox? If so, try this link? :-

Re: !st Generation DMU sounds.
Thank you Andy - I'd recommend all to use the Dropbox link from now on. I'd try and change the link in my previous post, but I can't.AndyUK wrote:Thanks Bob, the dropbox link worked fine.

Re: !st Generation DMU sounds.
Tried them out and they are a big improvement - want to try them a bit more later in the week as I had to keep the volume down for the wife as she does not like the floorboards shaking when I am driving!!

Re: !st Generation DMU sounds.
Would it be possible to package the sound files as an rwp file and send it to the uktrainsim site as I would love to try these 101 sounds. I tried using 4share and it has taken me over an hour to delete the software - google says beware of using 4 share as it is like a virus and is very dificult to remove - you have been warned!!

I'm sorry you had a problem with 4share files, I wanted to change the link in my message about using Dropbox instead (see two messages above yours).
Try this link instead:-
