Re: B'ham - Derby V5 update
Hi Jeff
Downloaded fine and very fast too.
Set up a Frieght freeroam fro Derby to test.
Despite the AI routing me through every non AWS siding it could find managed to test the AWS.
Working fine where present although I have never had the luxury of nearly 0.8 miles warning before signals on any other route.
Anyway it works and is audible just as it should be if that helps.
regards and thanks for this great route.

Re: B'ham - Derby V5 update
I downloaded and installed it OK. There's one trivial and one not so trivial thing I've noticed so far. The trivial one is that the cooling towers at Willington steam yet there is no power station at the site. I don't know whether you can switch the emitters off but I think it would be better if you could.
I knocked up a couple of scenarios from Derby to Burton to check on your new scenery, one passenger and one freight, both with only the player's train. The passenger one works exactly as you'd expect but the freight one doesn't. The route threw a wobbler if I tried to force the freight through one of the goods lines beyond Platform 6 but put the train through one when I let the AI do the job itself, by simply giving it an end-point at Burton Down Sidings. I set up the train on, looking towards Derby, the left hand of the four lines. The AI moved it to the adjacent line before routing through one of the goods lines when there appear to be connections anyway. On leaving the Derby complex, the train remained in the second from the left of the four lines but was then transferred to the right-hand line until it had passed Peartree, when it was moved back to the left-hand of the two lines. The routing seemed fine after that until I reached the junction from Sheet Stores when the train was sent to the opposite line and immediately back again. The passenger train ran straight through these crossovers.
I deleted the first freight scenario and replicated it from scratch, with the same result.

Yes there was a bit of strange routing and I got the double crossover at Peartree - both in immediate succession.Rockdoc2174 wrote:I downloaded and installed it OK. Re: B'ham - Derby V5 update
I'm having a bit of a problem downloading this update.I paste the encryption code, click 'No Thanks' to Google Chrome and the download reaches 94% then stops with the message 'Encryption error'
I've tried 3 times with the same result. Using IDM if that makes any difference.

Re: B'ham - Derby V5 update
clemmo will send it up to 4shared aswell.
Will have to put in more "up/down" sections to stop all this routing over crossovers.
I see Wikipedia says AWS should be 200mts from signal I will adjust.

Hmmm - very odd - each time (4 times now) it gets to 21% then freezes. Will keep persevering and see what happens.

Re: B'ham - Derby V5 update
just going up to 4shared Rod..
Well put in up/down on the down goods and it still routed it through the carriage sdg. still going for the shortest, so will have to pre route all freight (which I find is best anyway or you will get put through all goods/ relief etc roads) through the down goods and where ever you want after...
