Think I have most routes - but don't ever recall that one?

Nice though if it does appear anywhere!

Likewise - I'm afraid this is one route I've never heard of...

I think the OP means this route, although all seems to have gone quiet.

Looks like the project has been abandoned as the website links fail with a '404' page error?

Shame, as I would like to have seen the progress :( :(

Very much remember the route being questioned, downloaded it and drove Seaford to Lewes and down to Eastbourne a few times (about the extent of the initial releases). The person who produced it was having problems with laying the third rail, so it never had third rail installed but was classified as an electrified route so Electric units could operate. Removed it from my installation a long time ago as it seemed to have stalled and no further updates were released. Have had a look through the libraries but cannot find any mention of it.
.
As regards the South East route that has been suggested as possibly being the one suggested, I believe that this was a route being developed as an individuals attempt to recreate the London to Brighton route and also a few of the Surburban area lines and the missing bits of the current route ( Wivelisfield to Lewes / Brighton and the Hove triangle completed, but, as his work progressed he was kicked an almighty blow when RSC announced that they would soon be releasing a route called "London to Brighton". Despite requests to model the areas that were not being done by RSC the project just disappeared.

Hey guys,

I am the original designer/builder of UK south east. I changed the links of UKsouth east within my website and forgot to update everything. The project is on hold at the moment, due to a few things; 1) After the update to TS2013 the route would never load properly. As I started UK South East back when Train sim was called Railworks 2 alot has changed and everything needs updating, 2) Since the TS2013 update I started getting screen tearing, blue lines/triangles which blocked the graphics and what you could see. 3) When the London to Brighton route was released I was a bit down hearted as someone beat me to it! I was in two minds over whether to continue or stop or use the LB route and add to it (Although was worried about copyright etc). And lastly 4) Not sure how much im allowed to mention, but a few guys and I are working on a project called "Sussex Coast". Its being built for TS2013 and will be ready for release early next year. This is taking up most of my time, therefore UK South East will not progress for the moment (If at all depending on the new projects success)

Im sorry to all of you for uping sticks and leaving you hanging without a South East route. You are welcome to work on my route for your own pleasure, but please remember theres alot of updating to do and issues with it. I Have no idea what causes the crashing and blue effects and dont want you all to break your computers or something! Please dont release it to the world without consulting with me first!

Nips-UK - nice to hear you are back and that you had not become totally disheartened over RS taking over your route - did you ever manage to sort out placement of the third rail, is so let us know !!!!!- Sounds your new venture will be worth waiting for, if nobody else does the same again !!!.
.
Look forwrad to any updates that you provide

Guys 'n Gals - please see my previous message in this thread about me volunteering to take the project over!

@Nips - did you get my Email via the website "info@" address?

INFO: I have d/l the route from the website and it loaded first time (under TS2013) just two minor problems I have found:
1) The route template asset folder/contents is 'missing'?
2) Checking the route with RW_Tools I get this message box that will not clear:
Error.#5 Invalid procedure call or argument
Module frmDelRoute
Procedure: CheckForFiles4
I will take this up with Mike Simpson to try and determine the cause.

Otherwise, after a quick look around, I haven't seen any of the problems Nips has talked about?

Will give it a real bashing this morning and report back!

The bashing has taken place - and using the provided scenario, Brighton to Eastbourne, the route drove without any incident, no flashing/streaking/blueing etc. as Nips had reported he had encountered, and all the third-rails looked in place. Checking the fps this was constantly in excess of 30fps.

All this is under TS2013 - the only thing to clarify now is the RW_Tools error box message as it stops a complete list of assets being obtain.

So, just waiting now to see from Nips what to do next.

If anyone else is/has run the route perhaps they could comment on their experience?

Hi Trav, the only time I ever get that error with RWtools is when there is a missing route template file, so having that would probably cure the error.

I did mention that was missing before in this thread - but I must admit that I have never seen that error box before and I have had several routes with that file missing?

@NIPS: Can you help to provide that Assets folder and contents please?

The route template being missing isn't a great problem, the route loads fine without it and it only shows as an error in RW Tools so you can either wait for nips to provide one, or if it annoys you enough delete the reference to it in the RouteProperties.xml, or even use the information in RouteProperties.xml to create your own copy of it.

I didn't get the second error Trav, I'm missing a dozen assets so are you possibly missing a whole lot more to 'overload' the RW Tools checking routine?
Have you checked another route to see if the
Error.#5 Invalid procedure call or argument
Module frmDelRoute
Procedure: CheckForFiles4
message is perhaps a glitch with your RW Tools installation?

I can confirm that the 3rd rail displays just fine, and that the graphical errors experienced by nips would seem to be specific to his system---3 monitors and SLI/X-Fire coupled with the changes to the core programming of the game could be factors there!
