Sky and Ground textures have disappeared

I loaded TS this evening to have a quick drive - I've recently bought a new PC so am once again enjoying Train Simming - but found for some reason several environment textures are missing; affecting various routes.

(E&G and PDL respectively)

Both these routes have previously been fine on the same computer. Whilst I have been unable to try every single route in my TS installation, the issue is also affecting Newcastle York (default) and Bristol Exeter (Just Trains). I have used all of these routes over the past few days with no issue and have made no changes to my graphics settings either in-game or using the AMD Catalyst Control Centre.

I have deleted the cache in-game and have also re-verified it using steam yet the problem persists. The only change that has occured is Steam downloading approx 100mb of data this evening when it loaded, but I don't know what it was for and can't really see a reason for this to occur as a result.

Any ideas? :-?

I did have that 100MB update earlier on one of my Assets/Content installations (I have 5 in all ). I checked all the routes
you mention (except E-G is on a different one). They seem ok.
I don't use the game's clear cache since it broke but a batch file. Hope you can fix it.

New PC you say?

It will probably be your graphics settings conflicting with TS

Set everything you can to "Application Controlled" in your Video Card control Panel and try again.

Oddly, everything was one Application Controlled. What I had done was increased the general quality from 'balanced' to 'high quality'. I initially discounted this as I had previously had them set to 'highest quality' with no issue. Computers are brilliant, aren't they!
