Their sounds are perfect too, reminds me of when I'm waiting at March station and a shed comes flying past with similar wagons (Including one with a wheelflat)
Are the wagons the same as the ones that came with the Class 66 v2?
Kernow2
No, they are different.

Thanks for that. I was just being a bit lazy (Friday tired) to have a detailed look at what I already have.
Hmm.. now it gets tricky.. Manor or 57.. Manor or 57.. wifes' gone out... where's me bank card?

Pennies spent.
Very nice indeed. Looks the part and sounds the part. Cab environment is really nice.
Time to read the manual with a cup of coffee and a toasted teacake before the wifes' return.

Thanks Oovee.

Thanks Oovee.
No problem, hope you enjoy it.

Yep it was a case of I lost to much speed and inadvertently stopped when I shouldn't have done, tried it again rattling into the siding at 10mph and didn't have a problem, thanks for the suggestions I have now completed the scenario successfully.

Sorry to drag this old thread up, but is the fact that the "new improved" 57 could not drag the skin off a proverbial rice pudding an issue, and if so is there a fix/hack? On the E-G route in 2 of the scenarios you can end up in hot water getting up the hill to Larbert sidings or away from Grangemouth. In both cases the loco is unable to start the 10 container train up 1/100 and 1/75 hills respectively, which may be normal I don't know but it seems rather under-powered to say the least.
Cheers.

Morning Containment and
Ex-Grangemouth.
I guess I should clone these and try with a 66 or a duff to compare, but out of the box something's amiss.

I did struggle too actually getting into the Larbert siding, I braked too much which caused me to stall, she wheel slipped her way up the gradient but managed to get to 5, and eventually to the marker. There is another scenario you do the same thing with an FL 66,"Cadder Misty Morning" this was much easier getting up the bank - though I did instill the community physics mod.
Seems Daft having a speed limit so low on a gradient of 1 in 100.
I think the issue is not the power of the engine, but the realistic scripting of how there is a delay until that power actually goes to the wheels, I think I just had the 57 at notch 4 or 5, and let the sand do the work. I'll give the Ex-Grangemouth one a go now

The biggest issue is probably the broken wheelslip model.... any bets on this being (finally) fixed in TS2014?

In fairness, oovee has done a good job, if I put alot of power on, she was slipping and getting nowhere. Where as, applying a little, it was gripping but then losing it again and regaining grip once some sand had gone down. Certainly is a challenge that siding

I couldn't even get her moving in Morning Containment.

Be sure you have current on the ammeter before you open up the throttle. I find 1 or 2 notches will get it to pick up but not always. If rolling backwards apply brake. Manual says loco but I've found train brake works. Apply 1 or 2 notches of power until the ammeter rises. You now have current to the traction motors. release brake and the train should slowly start moving. Once you have a little momentum increase throttle just not too far. Its recommended to keep it in the green n the ammeter with only 1 hour max in the yellow. It's a challenging and very involved diesel to drive and the best I own by far. Just a shame I can't find anywhere that freightliner 57/0's worked on the e-g or even wcml but rather in the south of England. Would love to see some more modern freight lines done

Just finished Ex-Grangemouth with no issues. Had to put power into the yellow after getting grip restarting to get onto the main line. Too much and the ammeter shot to full so backed off to regain grip and I was away. Very enjoyable run hitting 75 on the mainline

I shall re-attempt the Ex-Grangemouth one again after reading your advice.
The Morning Container is illustrative of the alleged problem though.
Surely a 57 would be able to start a few wagons up a 1/75.
Unless the containers were filled will lead bars or something.
