Best way to remove a loco

Post by Rockdoc2174 »

I have a non-RSC loco that's behaving strangely in one of my TS013 installations but is fine in the other. Since the original installation, the author has released updates that have been applied using utilities.exe. I'd like to see whether a complete re-installation would cure the problem but I'm not sure about how to do it with the updates in place. As I see it I have three alternatives:
  1. find the updates in utilities.exe and unroll them both, then uninstall the loco
  2. uninstall the loco and hope it removes all the updated files as well
  3. ignore the uninstall process and delete the appropriate folder
Any thoughts?

I think the third option is the best.

Gracias! I have a back-up if things go badly so I'll try that later.

I moved the loco folder onto my desktop and then ran utilities.exe ti install the loco again. I got an error message so I put the folder back again and uninstalled the patches and the loco as in option 1. This left the folder and a Blueprints.pak inside so these were deleted. I have installed just the loco so far and the weird behaviour has disappeared. I'll try installing the patches next and see how that affects anything.
