Re: Cambridgeshire Lines
Clemmo - thanks for the info - I'll follow it through again now and see what I get - could be that something has dropped off during the re-packaging exercise (since lots of people seem to hit the same thing).
Bob - I'll send you a pm with details on where to post them to - assume you are happy to have them wrapped up in the next release ? Hope you enjoy it - any feedback on things I can improve on is gratefully received !

Re: Cambridgeshire Lines
Clemmo
- I've rerun via AI-follow - no SBHH for me (not surprising - "it works ok on my box guv'nor' !!) - pity really as I could fix it if i could see it ! A couple of possible candidates if you've the time to chase them
- there is an AI train coming down the line towards you at that point - a Jinty with a couple of flats and a guards van - if you haven't seen it at the point where you SBHH then it's possible that it is the problem. Could you try disabling it (delete the driver icon - it starts near Cambridge in a loop just North of Coldhams Signalbox) - if that lets you get to the bridge and then SBHH then it suggests that it is the cause.
- the other possibility is a missing/rogue terrain texture - can you check the UKTS_FP/terrain_textures/BY/environment/terrain/grass folder - should have 17 files in it.
Hopefully we can get it running for you and otehr users who are having an issue - it's great when it works
Regards

Re: Cambridgeshire Lines
Ok thanks. Can you give the name of the Jinty consist? Then I can check it out properly.
I installed the patch but I'll check those grass assets.
edit
Is it 'Engineer's train' ?
Grass seems ok.

Re: Cambridgeshire Lines
Well as a test I pulled in a virgin Kuju folder and just added the missing stock for this one scenario.
It loads after a very long load time. Will try the scenario out but probably will not keep a special folder for just one scenario as the rest of the route is fine. The Kuju folder strikes again!

Re: Cambridgeshire Lines
Hi
As I didnt have some of the required stock non of the senarios would work for me, even the free roam ones as some stock must have been placed along the route. Thought I would get around this by cloaning the route and doing my own senarios, this seemed to work but after 4 or 5 mins driving the sim crashed with the dreaded "Something Bad Happened" message, any Ideas ?

Re: Cambridgeshire Lines
Oldowl - sounds like your grass folder is fine - are you getting the SBHH on 'Coals' too ?
Clemmo - thanks for checking - yes I meant the engineers train. Mr Perks has also been investigating and gets further down the line if he removes it - so there may be something there (not sure what)
Chrisreb - good to know you can run the rest at least - any thoughts on why your Kuju folder kicks off at just this one scenario - possible use of a specific asset that isn't used elsewhere (one for us to follow up).
JohnWallWork - sorry you get an SBHH - whereabouts on the route does it happen for you ?
Levisham - thanks for the posts - I assume you are just ref'ing locos that are currently available ? FYI we hope to see a Claud this year - and some other Gresley's are on the wishlist !

Re: Cambridgeshire Lines
Hi Neil
Have to say how much i am enjoying the route. I have it on my laptop and all sems well.
I went to cambridge on the Guided Bus route on Friday (for those who dont know the bus route runs on the old track bed of the St Ives - cambs railway) and i have to say you have rally done the route proud. So easy to reconise area, The old airdrome at Oakington and when you run through swavesley the church and farmhouse and of course when you run into St Ives you can not mistake it, the old mill by the river (now flats) and the free Church steeple, and of course when you go into town the Livestock market (now the bus station) and last the lovely model of the road bridge complete with chapple on it. I can also find in town where my in laws rented there flat in 1946.
I do congradulate yourself and Ruth on a very good job
Regards

Re: Cambridgeshire Lines
Hi Neil,
Yes, on coals it will not start at all and just crashes the sim.
Everything else runs great.
Thanks for a fantastic route.

Re: Cambridgeshire Lines
Got to within 1 mile of the end of the Coals from Newcastle and got an SBHH - wi;; try again in a day or so if I can load from a save. Previous attempt to load this from a save resulted in it loading fine to screen and just freezing.
Re: Cambridgeshire Lines

When you said you got to within a mile of the end - was that with the 'light' Kuju folder or your 'heavy' one ? Whereabouts did you get to when it SBHH - were you before or after the railbridge over the river ? Further ?
Thanks to everyone who has posted supportive comments - it's nice to hear that four years weren't entirely wasted ! More scenarios coming soon - and we're at work on the next stage of the release (won't be another four years !)

Re: Cambridgeshire Lines
Clemmo and Chrisreb
I have a theory (ahem , this is my theory and my theory alone, ahem) - that perhaps specific assets are triggering SBHH on 'older' installs with a lot of history. I guess that where you've created a new cut-down kuju folder and then added just the relevant assets (and got this to work) this has also had the effect of putting a single clean version of kuju's current defaults plus a single clean install over the top of it with UKTS-FP etc. My theory (railways are thin at one end, thick in the middle and thin at the other end) is that there has been a disconnect over time with specific assets - especially reskins of kuju assets - which has been subsequently corrected - so that a fresh kuju plus a fresh overlaid set of latest-version 3rd party assets works where an old (built over the years) version does not. In the case of the Engineer's train I wonder if the reskinned guards van is causing a problem on your older setup:
"Kuju\RailSimulator\RailVehicles\Freight\StandardVan\Standard_Van_Bauxite_03\Wagon\standard_van" - aka "FP StanVan Bxite 3 (BY)"
May be un hareng rouge - but its a thought. If you have the time to remove/replace the van with something else and retry then that would help.
Cheers
Neil

Hi Neil
This was with the very light Kuju folder. It was about 0.9 miles to go and it was after the river bridge. If I get chance tomorrow I will see if it will resume from the last save shortly before that point.
Don't let this discourage you as I love the route - this is the only scenario so far that won't work. My own freeroam into the same are worked fine.
