I just logged in to steam and then allowed it to update when prompted
Once the update had been applied steam automatically checked my TS2013 set up for missing content
I didn't need to verify the cache
Kind regards Stephen

PS I have launched TS but nothing new has appeared. I have also unloaded and reloaded steam a number of times.

Funny you should say that Alan - there have been reports of small & large downloads but RSC, in there wisdom, did say the update would take a fair while (dependant on connection speeds) which suggests to me rather more that one file of 5kb?

Nothing 'new' will appear!! See previous messages about, what appears to be, only the one file is changed?

I've not had an update for ages so I fail to see how a file could be changed if I've not had an update for a while. That's why I said nothings changed and I'm still waiting. I did read them, thankyou.........

Roger on that but can you check just one thing for me?

In the Steampps folder which file is in there, appmanifest_24010.acf or one similar with a .ncf extension?

It updated for me and what fun it has caused.

Everything up dated and then uploaded missing content.

I loaded the route I was working on in the editor and loads of Scenery items were missing .
I checked and they were listed in the editor so I thought I would replant one.
As soon as I clicked to position on the route all the scenery re appeared on the route.(excellent )
I then clicked on the play button and all started well but the route had the scenery missing .
I went back into the editor and it had all vanished again.
Repeated above - try to replant an item of scenery and it all re appears.
Press play and it all vanishes again . ETC ETC ETC.

I have verified the cash - no change
I have checked all the routes I need for my route scenery are ticked
I have checked the scenery list and it is all there.
I can't replant the scenery items because as soon as I try to replant they all reappear as if by magic.

I've tried my back up copy and its exactly the same.

Check that your scenery detail settings have not altered, or the slider is not set to 1 or some such.

Still nothing happened here. No Update and I still can't clear the Cache. Removing the whole sorry mess from my computer.
Have contacted Support but have just got the standard reply of the instructions on the Website.
Fine help they are. :(
Update I have now got a reply but there is also somebody else's problem listed in the text from November last year  I now have that persons email address. I have advised RSC to look at the Data Protection Act.
Can it become any more ridiculous :-?

Retro, can you answer the question I put to Will a while ago about a file update in the Steanapps folder?

Thanks Anthony . It this seems to be the problem . I am trying to get a setting that works and looks ok and is playable.

I tried the defauld scenery setting but that does not work and higher settings make the game unplayable. I will have to try custome setting any suggestion from anyone
