Sourceinit is to do with the steam Client itself and 'Source' engine based games (Half Life, Portal, Team Fortress, etc..), and winui is how the client interacts with windows (Windows User Interface), so the only relevant change is the .acf for Railworks

(and the removal of .ncf files of course)
Edit: Just watched the process as I haven't updated (well have now) The .ncf files are removed and the new .acf file is created upon the 'Connecting to Steam' log in dialogue, it 'Appears' that the usual "Steam needs to convert files" after going onto steampipe isn't happening for this game. (or at least it hasn't for me) Therefore no verify cache, and files are kept exactly the same as they were before this small transisition, therefore 'Mods' and 3rd party content is unaffected for now)

Good grief, 50 minutes and 50% of "Steam need to convert..." I could paint a door and watch it dry to have more fun than this, and I still don't know whether I will be able to use the damn thing when it's finished.

Thanks Traveller54/AndyM77. I was just wondering how much it was going to cost sending the wife to get her hair done. looks like I can get away with just paying for a trim not the full works while I reload all my 3rd Party

My hard disk is currently thrashing away doing something or other though I know not what? Is this something to do with Steams inability to patch, rather than replace, a large file? I wonder what effect this will have on sims like this where the user has been in the past been able to fiddle with and edit individual files?

Update finished. Time to start re-installing all my AP soundpacks/mods/reskins and route patches. Goodbye Tuesday!

Well conversion finished after hour and half, download of 8.3MB afterward, default stuff I changed has reverted so in the process of re-installing them which isn't to much of a issue.
One reported issue I've seen on RSCs facebook page is that if you clear cache the simulator isn't booting back up again, but only been two people who said that thus far.

hi,
Have no .ncf files but 1.acf file does that mean I have been updated. Nothing seems to have happened.
Confused.
Kind regards James.

Have you started up railworks to start the conversion? Its not like a normal patch update where you wait in the download section of steam client, it requires the program to be launched once for it to kick in the conversion process.

Thanks.
I have started it up but nothing seems to have happened.
It's not doing the things stated on the first link on this Topic.
Kind regards James.

Well I've just logged onto steam this morning, nothing seems to have happened, no wizz bang or wollop,no notification stating that steam needs to convert my TS2013 files(as mentioned in the Engine Driver post) .When I started TS2013 nothing there as well . Game starts up and runs as it should. Where or what files should Iook for to see if anything has been done ?
Antony.

It restarted for me OK after I cleared the cache and ran just fine from then on.

AndyUK wrote:Perhaps mine's been done as well then. I didn't notice at the time but on checking I've also now got an .acf file dated today. The process, if it's now complete, certainly wasn't anything like that described in the post on
http://www.engine-driver.com.
Looks like it's a two stage process, for me at least. Although I ran TS2013 earlier after finding the .acf file had been installed and .ncf files removed nothing else happened. I've just tried to start TS2013 again and got a message in the Steam client 'Update Required'. The update is happening as I type. Seems what RSC posted is correct, but for some reason the Steam Pipe conversion was 24 hrs late.

It didn't start for me properly the first time. I had to restart steam to get TS2013 to load. Now everything is OK.
