Re: Bromsgrove - Derby!
Living in Derby I was very interested to see the image and had to do a double-take to work out where it was supposed to be taken from. The road shown isn't one I use often and the bridge has panels to block your view as you drive over it so it was a decidedly unfamiliar scene. It certainly looks good for a WIP and I look forward to nit-picking the areas around the station!!

Thanks kieth, i had not intended going this far so had not studied derby. Its a lot different to the days i usef to fire jubilees through on the york bristols. I look forward to your comments to assit me.
Its a bit like trying to make an apple pie with no apples. I only use default or freeware items.
The over footbridge i used the mine conveyor belt it was the only item to span thst many tracks... early days..

Re: Bromsgrove - Derby!
The station's certainly changed enormously from those days! The loco works has gone to all intents and purposes. Almost all that's left is the roundhouse, which has been Grade II* listed and is now part of a satellite campus of the University of Derby. The bridge that used to take workers from the station entrance to the works is long gone. The present bridge extends the earlier one that, in your day, allowed passengers simply to move between platforms to access a car-park. There is another, larger car-park opposite Station Terrace alongside Platform 1. The railway terraces were restored about 20 years ago and the old Brunswick Inn, built as part of the complex, is now rightly famous for its home-brewed beers. The Railway Institute building is still there but the original three-railway station building was allowed to fall into serious decay until it had to be demolished and replaced by something much less evocative. It looks very out of place against the Midland Hotel, which still retains its grandeur. What we'll have in a few years' time, after the line's been electrified and the tracks layout's been changed significantly, is anyone's guess.
Let me know if you need any photos of specific locations and I'll see what I can do.
