Thanks

Post by mikesimpson »

Just a short message to thanks for all the support received over my post yesterday (now locked).

I admit I probably was a bit quick to put this on the forum, but this was NOT the first time a user had sent me a copy of a message in the same vein from RSC support so I was a bit p.....d off.

I am now in contact with RSC and things are getting cooled off, so once again thanks for the support and I will get back to work.

Honestly Mike, in your shoes I'd have been more than a bit.......
Pleased to hear you have a dialogue going anyway, that has to be the way forward.

Hi Mike,

All the best and I hope that you can get RSC to reign in some of its rather spurious language!

Just read through the original thread. Disgusted if the e-mail's genuine, which I believe it is. Good to hear RSC have responded, let us know the outcome.

As a keen routebuilder and scenario writer, RW_Tools is basically my life support. I hope you choose to continue supporting it as you have over the years, I think you have a bigger fanbase than you realise :)

Cheers,

JB

Actually I don't think the original email is genuine. It is very easy to manipulate an email and say it came from such and such a source. I have faith in RSC not to write such an email. Why would they. They know that such an email would damage there reputation and lose them sales.

I agree with Trev there, the offensive *mail* appeared to be written in a totally different way to kosher mails from any support department, hence my constant nattering to verify its authenticity. However, as the original thread was (temporarily) locked for investigation could I suggest that we refrain from discussing the mail in this one, and wait till the original thread is unlocked to follow up on that point?
The important point, one we should all be grateful for, is that Mike and RSC are communicating and resolving the issue--hopefully some good will come out of this and we can all get back to enjoying the game, and the forum.

Good to hear things have cooled and a dialogue is ongoing between you. As a minority hobby (And thats all it is to the end user, a hobby) the last thing we want to see is a lack of co-operation and bad blood between developers. I was actually a little surprised when i read the previous thread, i'd be gobsmacked if RSC didn't have a copy or 2 of RW tools on their own computers :o

I'm over the moon you have decided to keep going as your tools and website are invaluable and I too, like many others have said, would have probably thrown in the towel long ago without them. Good luck for the future I hope you're around for many more years to come :D

Mike
Good Luck - its Country Music Time in Tamworth and we are going to ask Chad Morgan (I ain't dead yet) to sing a ballad of support for you in your coming negotiations with RSC. So watch Channel 7, 9 or 10 in case it gets a mention.
Many thanks for your great invaluable app.
