Adding a handbrake to locomotive

Hello, I am trying to add a working handbrake to the Falmouth branch 0-4-0ST and the pannier tank. I hope someone can help me. The handbrakes in the cab turn but it does not affect the locomotive. Where/what do I add to the locomotive files to enable this brake to stop the locomotive.
