This was always the case, the only new trackwork in place is that of the Grangemouth area. Scenery has been laid as far as the M876 overbridge about a mile north of larbert station. Curiously the down sidings at Larbert are truncated wheras in real life they are still connected at the north end.

Yes, the Stirling area does still have semaphore signalling (for now). I'm sure it was mentioned on here before that their was some difficulty on this route mixing the 2 types and thats why colour lights were placed.

The newly scenerised sections have overall been pretty well done and most bits are instantly recognisable. Some areas appear a bit sparsely scenerised (Falkirk Grahamston - the point the line crosses the canal towards camelon doesn't feel right at all). The new stations are fantastic and a very close representation of the real thing and the Falkirk wheel area has been very well depicted.

Having never been to the refinery since i was a kid on a school trip around Grangemouth docks many decades ago, I was well impressed that I was able to identify with locations on the route itself (and even had a few memories brought back). The extensive network of sidings to the north of the terminal is well reproduced (It would be great if their was someone out their could tell us what function they all serve for scenario purposes). The next set of sidings to the West of the oil terminal appear to be out of use and partly dismantled looking at google maps, again would be good to know what their purpose was.

Coming north from the oil terminals we have the two container terminals, the one with the overhead crane operated by DB Shenker and the other populated by DRS stock. Both are very well represented and I'm sure their's lots of potential for scenario makers in there ;)

All in all a very welcome addition to the E&G route and my thanks goes to RSC and Thomson interactive :).

Not sure if it's already been mentioned but I've just tested the new route by driving a 170 out of Edinburgh and blow me down, the cab gradually got dark as I entered the Haymarket tunnel! Amazingly, gradually got lighter as I neared the exit!

Jackpot! This was one of the last features on my list to make this sim top drawer visually perfect. Well done Thomson, take note other devs.

Not only have they done the tunnels but they've also used the tunnel occlusion module for both the stations and the bridges on the route to block out the rain.

This is a superb addition to the route and raises the immersion level another notch. And yet, oddly, it doesn't do the same in the tunnel at Falkirk. :-?

It did for me, in a 156. Nice effect, especially at speed :)

One little thing I noticed, in an otherwise fine update to the route.

None of the new stations have car stop signs on the platforms. Seems like a strange omission as all the other stations on the route have them. No biggie, I suppose, but I am rather used to driving to them on modern routes.

I found exactly the same whilst driving the 170 between Gl;asgow and Edinburgh. All tunnels and bridges EXCEPT the Falkirk tunnel have light occlusion.

Could anyone share a map of the new route from in game?

Exactly the same as the last route apart from Grangemouth.

My appologies, I was commenting on the newer Carmuirs twin tunnels on the Grahamston line rather than Falkirk high tunnel which doesn't appear to have been treated.

I actually thought there was somehing wrong with my monitor! :) Great effect though.

Making it even more immersive than it already is.

Seriously considering getting this route :)

Is the 170 updated to latest standards, ie. rain and lights?

The 170 is indeed in Quick Drive and has TS2012 effects :)

:-? I seem to have lost platform edges at Queen's St and some other stations since the upgrade - platforms just hang in the air without obvious support! Any one else found this - I have done an integrity check and nothing seems missing.
