This was always the case, the only new trackwork in place is that of the Grangemouth area. Scenery has been laid as far as the M876 overbridge about a mile north of larbert station. Curiously the down sidings at Larbert are truncated wheras in real life they are still connected at the north end.
Yes, the Stirling area does still have semaphore signalling (for now). I'm sure it was mentioned on here before that their was some difficulty on this route mixing the 2 types and thats why colour lights were placed.
The newly scenerised sections have overall been pretty well done and most bits are instantly recognisable. Some areas appear a bit sparsely scenerised (Falkirk Grahamston - the point the line crosses the canal towards camelon doesn't feel right at all). The new stations are fantastic and a very close representation of the real thing and the Falkirk wheel area has been very well depicted.
Having never been to the refinery since i was a kid on a school trip around Grangemouth docks many decades ago, I was well impressed that I was able to identify with locations on the route itself (and even had a few memories brought back). The extensive network of sidings to the north of the terminal is well reproduced (It would be great if their was someone out their could tell us what function they all serve for scenario purposes). The next set of sidings to the West of the oil terminal appear to be out of use and partly dismantled looking at google maps, again would be good to know what their purpose was.
Coming north from the oil terminals we have the two container terminals, the one with the overhead crane operated by DB Shenker and the other populated by DRS stock. Both are very well represented and I'm sure their's lots of potential for scenario makers in there
All in all a very welcome addition to the E&G route and my thanks goes to RSC and Thomson interactive
