Hi all
Many thanks for all the nice comments and feedback. Unfortunately, I've been violently ill with S & D for the last few days and according to the doctor, won't be right for another few days, so I can't really work on any patches right now. Worst case scenario is that it will be the first week of January that the first patch will be put out, as I'll also be away for 3 weeks.
I'm sorry if the smoke and sounds have had a detrimental effect on your enjoyment of the pack. I don't expect everyone to like my smoke. I was slightly amazed by the image above with the leading smoke at 40mph and I do agree, it looks ridiculous. I've never seen the effect to such extremes before, may I ask, out of curiosity, what route and weather settings were used?
You can blame me for the loud running sounds, when Matt sent me the sounds they were the same volume as the sounds on the GCR 8F models. However, having spent a day learning on a very similar black 5, I can assure you that from the cab, it's VERY noisy indeed, so I increased the volume massively. Maybe I've overdone it, what sounds good on my PC with headphones may be vastly different to everyone else's setup. Matt is already working on a patch for the sounds, which may fix the machine gun effect from the head out view, but I still think this amongst the very best of his works and still cannot put into words how grateful I am for them.
As some may have noticed, there isn't a tutorial scenario that I repeatedly describe I the manual. I wrote it back in August when I thought I'd include one, but my attempts to make any scenarios have not gone well at all, and I've just not had time to make any in the last few months. An enormous thank you to Jim, who basically looked after and finalised the project over the last few weeks when I wasn't able to, without his help and support, the pack may have missed a release this year.
Hopefully everybody will continue to enjoy the pack.
Chris
