Saw it on facebook the included FEA (I think they are that, not an expert on wagons) are looking nice and detailed. Will have the same features as the RT pack. This does mean that the original 57 has now been put to one side by Oovee and they have stated as much on the facebook page, you will have to "pay" again similar to the new Bigboy and Challenger. Sparking in my words quite a angry reaction for poor Oovee.

We just had our old Class 57 upgraded to a very high standard a few months ago which was a free update. When the railtours version came out, I couldn't justify purchasing it so I waited for the sale and picked it up then. I suspect I will do the same with this new freightliner version. Oovee did a lot of work upgrading the old 57 so need to recoup some of the costs incurred with that by bringing out these new versions.

I still think a 57/3 and 57/6 version would be well received.

Sort of agree...

Putting simply the "cost" issues aside, this makes scenario creation even more frustrating as you've got to ask yourself do you design this with the "old" stock so that the old hands who won't purchase the new packs can enjoy it or make it with the "new" stuff and hope that there are not too many speed / physics differences between new vs old that could potentially break the scenario with a RWTools swap. (swapping new for old)

It's just getting a bit crazy what with Big Boy 2, Challenger 2, 66 v2, etc.. :-?

There is still plenty of new stuff that needs making that this time would have been better spent on.

All in my humble opinion of course.

Yes, it does look like they are milking it a bit, I guess this means we can expect a Class 57/0 DRS pack soon too!

I wouldn't mind that :D
I'd happily pay for money for something like a DRS pack :)

To be fair, I think the addition of new freightliner wagons, and what appear to be varying sizes and liveries of 20' and 40' containers, the price will be worth paying.

True, but it would be more worth to those with the original 57 pack if the 57 was left out altogether.
