OOPs my mistake I assumed that because the OP said the rear loco was dead, that all the lights were off too, ignore me I obviously haven't had enough coffee this morning yet!

Well, actually in real life, yes the locos lights should be dead. In game, the trailing dead engines tail lights do indeed show. In reality, this would drain the locomotives batteries over time as the engine would not be running to charge them. Dead engines tend to have tail lamps hung off them to keep the batteries healthy.davejc64 wrote:OOPs my mistake I assumed that because the OP said the rear loco was dead, that all the lights were off too, ignore me I obviously haven't had enough coffee this morning yet!
Rear engines that are running (for ETS purposes for example) but not in multiple need a rider on board to monitor the locomotive, basically to shut it down if the fire bell sounds. In multiple (i.e. push/pull in this case) this is not required, as the fire bell will sound remotely in the leading locomotive, and the driver has complete control over the rear loco.
Re: Class 57 Rail Tours - Tail Loco Not Functional?
RW doesn't tell dead engines to disable their taillights. You could maybe do this with scripting, but it'd be a *lot* of scripting ( you have to decide which way the engine is facing, whether it's coupled to something, a couple more checks ) for the final result.
My posts are my opinion, and should be read as such.

Re: Class 57 Rail Tours - Tail Loco Not Functional?
Sorry to resurrect this thread but as we are talking 'rear lights' here this may be the best place to ask my question about the Mk1 carriages provided with the 'new' Class 57 Pack (BRClass57Pack01_WCRC)?
When I place carriages in a consist each one shows a tail light on both ends. When the consist is 'active' then both tail lights disappear on all carriages but there isn't one on the rear of the last carriage in the consist where I would expect one to be? I have tried this with a driver-selected engine on the front as an AI and a 'driver' without any change.
Am I doing anything wrong?
Also, in the pack along with the Maroon carriages are folders for 'Choc-Cream' but there are no .BIN/.Geo files. Bad download or what??

Only Maroon coaches are included in the pack, so these would seem to be folders that contain just any shared elements, possibly the passenger view.Traveller54 wrote:Also, in the pack along with the Maroon carriages are folders for 'Choc-Cream' but there are no .BIN/.Geo files. It's the same structure as the Falmouth Mk1s ( I am aware they're not actually the same models ). The paxview is new!
Taillights appear when you turn the locomotive headlights on.

Thanks for that just had a peak into the crimson BINs and see what you mean - and a merry christmas to RSC for making things so logically simplegptech wrote:Only Maroon coaches are included in the pack, so these would seem to be folders that contain just any shared elements, possibly the passenger view.Traveller54 wrote:Also, in the pack along with the Maroon carriages are folders for 'Choc-Cream' but there are no .BIN/.Geo files. Logically simple would be too easy---what would we talk about if it was that way?
